Hey guys remember me?

Recently, OCRemix released their Donkey Kong Country 2 album, 'Serious Monkey Business', and being a big fan of DKC2, I absolutely loved it. So much in fact I made a music video for one of the tracks, 'A New Place', a remix of Hot Head Bop. Hope you like it!

You can find the full album, filled with even more amazing DKC2 remixes, right here!

i felt the animation was good, and the music was good, but they didn't feel right together. In my opinion the animation and the music have nothing to do with each other. there was no reason to use donkey kong sprites and there is nothing going on in the animation that justifies the music.

why is this a problem? it's your movie and you can do it how you like right? well to me it feels distracting. i really can't take this animation seriously when all along im looking at diddy kong singing about something totally unrelated.

i understand why you put it in a lava cave, even though it's a bit of a stretch, i just feel the characters were badly suited for the music.

but like i said, nice music, and good animation, just bad together.

I've had the album for a while now, a good few months. But you're saying it was RECENT? Did I jump ahead of time or something...Oh well

The animation was solid, nothing flashy or amazing but it was still impressively well done and sync'd to the song, and well I have to admit. This is a utterly biased review because this track is 1 of my favorites from the album.<3

Well this was released March 22nd, about a week after the release of Serious Monkey Business, so at the time is was a rather recent release!

Glad you liked it!

Front page?

It's good to see this on the front page, I was shocked when it first came out and it got hardly any recognition at all, it's a well animated tribute to one of the best games of all time. I hope you animate again one day, I enjoy watching your stuff.
