DFL! Episode 5: Meat Loaf

Author Comments

Welcome to the first animated cooking show hosted by an appetizer. Deep Fried, Live! with Tako the Octopus is an entertaining, enlightening, and often dangerous look at the mysteries and methodology of modern food preparation. It’s the ultimate culinary spectacle, offering secret ingredients (that refuse to be cooked), in depth cooking science, printable recipes, and direct links to the latest cookware and ingredients. It’s also a thorough exploration of how much damage one octopus can do with an unlimited supply of kitchen artillery.

In this episode, Chef Tako returns to his kitchen in search of the perfect Meat Loaf and winds up having to deal with some fan mail, a pesky spider, and his mother. Yikes!

Lo Pan? That's the villain from "Big Trouble In Little China"! Anyway, I think this was your longest episode. It helps that Tako ansnwered e-mails. I was never into veal. I just don't like the idea of eating babies.

It was nice knowing that about the pinch and dash. I though they meant the same thing. It was weird to see him invisible most of the episode. It was informative as usual. There was so much going on.

Very Interesting.

Wow nice cooking. Great flash movie, voice-overs were exceptional. Amazing job with the graphics too. Had an almost DVD like feel to it also, what with all the extra's options. Keep up the great work, 4/5 and 9/10. Cheers, GJ.

Lots of Recipes

You basically belted out a lot of recipes this time around didn't ya? I liked how you answered viewer mail as well as explained more about Tako being an octopus. Your meatloaf recipe as well as side-dish repices made this episode perfect, you realize you just gave dinner and desert in this episode don't you with the chocolate chip pancakes recipe as well. Your artwork was great, your animation, sound, and voice acting were superb. Your writing was once again masterful. Brilliant two times in a row.
