Thank you for the frontpage!

This is a film I recently finished titled Super Smash. It sprung from a sketch I drew where I re-designed Mario, Luigi and Toad as I thought they would appear in our world.

This was my first attempt at making a flash film and I made quite a few mistakes. I discovered a thousand ways not to make a flash and one possible way to make one. That being said, this is not the complete version because I had trouble with combining all the scenes and exporting. SO here is my disclaimer...

After watching, you can view the completed film here...(delete the space in "watch")

Thank you again

Sick animation broski.

I really dug the fbf extravaganza of animation here. There aren't many video game-related Flashes here that show much talent in their construction, and this is leaps and bounds better than any sprite-based swill.

Character designs were pretty cool - I think Mario could've been wearing a shirt or something, but I won't complain too much. I wish Peach got more animation - she was just a blur then a static symbol squishing up and down. Luigi's character design was probably my favorite.

My one qualm with the animation was that some parts have gorgeous frame by frame animation, while others are just a symbol getting stretched around a bit. This works in a very small quantity, but it was pretty noticeable here, and was a bit jarring.

Overall I'd say you deserve the awards you got for this one - there are parts of the animation where I was pretty floored, like some of the big turnarounds and perspective shots. Good job.

they rly look like ghey...

The ending rocked

Modern super mario? That there is a pretty cool concept. Although it was confusing from time to time, the action sequence was generally followable. The fluid graphics and the new interpretations of the characters really carried this flash.

5/5 for the mushroom sandvich.

Easily one of the most kickass things I've ever seen.

is it just me?

Some bits were kind of hard too see because they're moving quite quickly and the camera moves a lot, i know im probably just being a dickhead and complaining too much because this must have taken AGES to make, but overall i thought it was one of my favourites ever! i loved the music too!
