Potentially good.

And that is why I vote 4 and rate 8. On the spinning ? blocks there was a bit of white/blackness. and the beggining text was a bit fast. So yeah, good, smooth, fitting music, but next time maybe add a play again option and a preloader. I love it.

Alright

It was a good concept, but it needs more variety of music and backgrounds.

no more sprites

No improve. Just stop. Mario sprites are over done. No more sprite flashes. Do some thing different. This is not Bizzaro being mean. Just honest.

Improvement

I am glad that you yourself stated you wanted to have comments for improvement. Here it goes. First of all, you should really not have a blank background at the beginning or any time at all, as it really gives off the feeling of laziness. Second, make sure that Mario is in the right proportion as he was in his smaller form when he took up all the space. Thirdly, it would have been better to remove some of the white around that box at the end. With more of a story added to it, it could be really good!

very decent for your first

for your first sprite flash you did a good job.
here are some suggestions:
1)try and clean up your sprites a little bit. a little polish will go a long way
2)when mario would hit a block, it would bounce up and come back down but not land in the same place it was before. if you use rules you can be more precise when doing an animation like this... i had to learn that on my own : )
3) when mario was speaking, not only was it hard to read the text but it went too quickly. try using word bubbles and letting the text hang in the timeline for awhile so people can read what hes saying.
4)now that youve got your feet wet, try adding some good sound effects that gives it more of a Super Mario feeling.

i know this is a lot but you got potential for this. keep up the good work and i look forward to seeing more!
