UPDATE 12/24: Thanks so much to all of you who've played Santa Fu already and to the sites that have been reviewing it around the web! We hope this brought back some great memories for those of you who played the original Kung Fu on the Nintendo Entertainment System! Have a great holiday everybody!

Santa Claus is drunk off his jolly ass on egg nog... again. This always happens around this time of the year. It's now up to you to guide Santa through his headquarters at the North Pole to show everybody in that winter wonderland that he's the true king of Christmas. And just how can you accomplish this? By using the ancient art of SANTA FU on anybody who dares to get in your way! Oh yeah, Mrs. Claus also appears to have gone missing, so maybe you can rescue her too while you're at it. Ho, ho, ho!

Santa Fu is a huge Christmas parody based on the classic "Kung Fu" game on the NES! All the levels, enemies and bosses from the original have been completely reworked and customized to fit with the overall holiday theme. On top of that, we added in some new music, cutscenes, unlockable characters, a high scores list and more!

Hope you all enjoy this special Christmas present! To us, it's definitely a Christmas miracle.

Very funny.

This game probably has the coolest game over scene ever!!!

for sum reason, every glitch that could happen, did happen. can you please fix freezing controls and when the characters are too close you can't hit them. other than this it was a great game, liked the option of changing music

This was really interesting.

I played long enough to unlock all three characters, loved the Santa ending, loved how well was Kung Fu remade... A really good job, well done graphics, good choice of NES music. This deserves a good score for all the work but isn't much original and won't keep anyone playing for long. Yet the cool little ideas you had there were rewarding and funny.

Nice Try...

It's just not quite there. The balance from the original NES game is thrown off, and for the worse in every case. (I lliterally played them side-by-side.)

Maybe if there were new features to make up for this, but there were barely any and they were also usually not good. Different playable characters might have been fun, but I don't feel motivated to unlock them and I doubt they are anything but reskins anyway.

Some things you can improve:

-Lots of enemy designs that are all the same thing merely confuses the player.
-Fire breathing trees fire too low. Your supposed to be able to duck under the fire.
-The bosses in almost every case had more complex patterns with less vulnerability frames and significantly more hp from what I have seen so far. They aren't necessarily harder, but they take much longer to beat which absolutely kills score bonuses and extra lives which are so important in this game.
-Retooling an enemy that is a boss in the original into a normal enemy in your version is extremely hardcore, a bit too much for me.

Oh, and the MAJOR complaint is the fact that the controls suck hardcore. They are sticky, unresponsive, and utterly bad. I have played with buttons that stick on the NES and had more responsive controls. (On this same game mind you.)

Until the controls are fixed to be responsive, this game is pointless.

alright...i guess

the game is pretty decent with the old arcade side scrolling, but its to easy to die, plus the lack of the ability to block makes the game frustrating mainly cause if someone touches you, you take damage. Although the game has some flaws, it will give entertainment for about 30 minutes and up.
