Old Man Lester

My second animation endeavor. A more complicated piece than my first. As part of the process, I tried to apply all the new techniques I've learned so far. It also makes use of a more complicated audio track, with original music, sound effects, etc. This is based on a character a friend and I have spent a lot of time joking about.

Not a bad wow, just a wow...
Lester is a creeper. :S
Still, it was pretty funny! Keep animating him, try different angles (like gary said) since I'm sure it would add to the overall animation. :)

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to watch and comment! Yeah, I think the next one will be much shorter, and have a lot more variety. Being new to animation, I am realizing how much work it takes. Thanks for your supportive comments. I'll be sure to check out your stuff as well. Cheers!

this character could be great. keep developing him. more angles would be a good idea instead of staring at the answering machine for most of the video, though the splitscreens helped a bit in that regard. a bit. it also seemed a tad out of sync at the beginning.

Thanks for your constructive criticism. The character was based on an inside joke between a friend and myself, and once it was laid out an animated, I did realize it was a bit to long and stagnant (which is why I put the split screens in). Just learning about flash and animation, etc. So I wanted to just try putting together a complete project from start to finish. But yeah, you're right. A bit too long without enough angles, variety, etc.. Thanks for taking the time to watch it though. I'm looking forward to working on my next flash project. And I joined this site in hopes of getting pointers. Thanks for yours! Cheers!
