Nice design for the game. Simple and effective. No glitches I could see.

I even like the way you put the midgame advertising in the window next to your end of stage results. Nobody likes ads at all, but the way you did it was transparent, compared to some other guys who have some dumb window just pop out of nowhere.

It boils down to one strategy for me though-power up speed until you can reasonably outrun bugs and get sprayer weapon.

Also, all of the enemies have the same exact behavior, with the exception of the ant queen things that spit little bugs at you. Perhaps there could be some bugs that have other abilities, perhaps shooting acid or spewing webs that slow you down--anything other than trying to close in to bite you.

Also, there's the issue of weapon pickups, although it's more like a personal choice. Maybe you should have an option to have a separate button to swap weapons with the one on the ground. If you like using the sprayer weapon (which is used at close range), it could get annoying when a bug drops a weapon right next to you and you pick it up.

Nice start

Great start I'd say. I really like your leveling up system and the instant improvement feedback. That said, it'd be nice if you introduced some clipping for bullet fire. Just a simple wall or something early on would add a strategic element to the mix.
