UPDATE: Huge thanks to Tom, Newgrounds, and the community for everything they've done to support this piece from front page to daily/weekly awards, and to first place in the Halloween competition this year! You guys are great!

Happy Spastic Flailing day Newgrounds! After lots of being eaten alive by insects, moving, traveling, and procrastinating I finally got around to finishing this thing. The entire concept of the movie came out of realizing that the little guys in my work have faces like power outlets. And that's pretty much all I have to say about this.

The awesome music was contributed by the following artists:
"Joker" and "Personal"
by Sulek (
Both songs are available on their album entitled "Believer's Lane."

"Impact Event"
by the Hamster Alliance (
Available for free online download at the link above.

Flash likes to remove sound layers tonight and I had to reduce image quality a little to allow for somewhat reasonable download times. Higher Quality: e_grumatorium.html

Also WATCH TO THE END OF THE CREDITS if you have questions about one of the plot threads. Thanks!

eh, it was cool

but it felt kind of unfinished. What happens to that kid that got shocked? is he ok? will he turn into another one of those things? I mean, if you wanted to do like a cliffhanger, that would have been fine too, but his face was turned into an electrical socket and he just walks away at the end. and they all just seem to want to play, despite the super scary genetic monstrosity following them. it looked really promising at the beginning, but you just kinda let yourself down.

although i did really like the very beginning with the truck and the plane. kind of reminded me of calvin and hobbes

It needs not to be all there or understood, for it is science! Yes, that wonderful thing which madness can lead to instead of Sparta!

The funny thing, actually, is that this reminds me somewhat of the old dig-a-hole-to-China deal that you get kids into doing. I know this, though... Playing in an abandoned evil laboratory is FUN. You just have to know what you're doing, because get outlet-faced, I guess. Remember, kids. It's all fun and games until someone gets a monster-plug in the eye.

Also, I agree that the heart sound is very much like Parasite Eve. But with the secret lab under the sandbox, zombies in stasis tubes, strange green-stuff-filled syringes, and a freaky monster on the prowl...we're sort of mocking all of Survival Horror, aren't we? Just a little?

It's all good. Gimme five. Wait, no. Give YOU five. And a ten.
