Loved every second.
Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.
It's been awhile since my last submission, but that's because this one kept me busy for quite awhile. You might notice I went back to my old style of animation, I don't know, I just like the charm of a more basic approach. Thanks to everyone who sent emails and PM's, I appreciate all the support!
Anyways!
Vancouver (pronounced /væn%u02C8ku%u02D0v%u0259 r/) is a coastal city and major seaport located in the Lower Mainland of southwestern British Columbia, Canada. The city is bounded by English Bay, Burrard Inlet, the Fraser River, the city of Burnaby, and the University Endowment Lands. Vancouver is named after Captain George Vancouver, a British explorer. The name Vancouver itself originates from the Dutch "van Coevorden", denoting somebody from (in Dutch: "van") Coevorden, an old city in The Netherlands.[3]
According to the 2006 Census, the city of Vancouver had a population just over 578,000[1] and its Census Metropolitan Area exceeded 2.1 million people.[2] As of July 2009, the city's estimated population surpassed 615,000 and that of the metropolitan area exceeded 2.3 million.[4] Vancouver is the largest metropolitan area in Western Canada and the third largest in the country, although the city proper is ranked eighth nationally.[5][6] Vancouver is ethnically diverse, with 52% of city residents having a first language other than English.[7][8]
