This is Inertia - enhanced! Control your star by rotating it and guide it to the bottom of each level. Don't let your star go off the screen!

This enhanced version has highscores and improved controls - as well as a cool new background. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi - Andromedus here,

just wanted to say thanks for the reviews. The reviews you get on Newgrounds these days are really useful and constructive - if I do a sequel I will definitely use some of the ideas put forward.

Cheers.

really cool!

Hey, I really enjoyed your game. Good music and sounds. Loved the gameplay. Though it was easy, but kinda nice to chill to. I'd like you make a sequel featuring more levels and make it faster or a little bit more difficult! I was just playing it and really enjoying it and then suddenly it was over.

Your game is really dreamy. Congrats on the submission.

Good idea, really really easy

I like where this game is going. the graphics are good, the sounds aren't too bad, but the game is way too easy. I got through the whole thing in like 15 minutes, and didn't feel substantially challenged the whole way through. I think it has to do with your scroll speed and the amount of obstacles you put in it. some of the obstacles seemed not to effect anything at all (like the shooters; i got afraid, until a bullet hit me and sent me flying back less than if a ghost tried to punch me). also, the bonus chips you can hit are WAY too generous; i felt like a circular version of mario almost, except that every chip i got was worth half an extra life...which added to the easiness again. and how many big ones were there? more than i could count. to put it simply, this game isn't lacking anything except more difficulty and challenge. it might be hard for people who don't know physics at all, but i was really hoping by level 4 or 5 to see some true challenges; instead, the whole game felt like a tutorial. the game isn't bad, it just lacks a little bit.

Simple

Before I get into the review I must ask this; what is the name of the music, who made it and where can I get it?

Now that my question is out of the way, the game is pretty straightforward and somewhat easy. It's got some trial and error elements in it, but it isn't bad. The only bug I've came across is when I land on a platform sometimes it makes the landing sound over and over really spastically. Also some platforms are too close together but only apart enough so you can get stuck in them and lose a life. These are somewhat uncommon occurances, but still.

I suggest a level maker. Perhaps power ups and so on, perhaps more types of control. I'd really like to influence my direction vertically somehow. ;/

Anyways, the sound is good, the gameplay is good (though it isn't without flaw), the level design is... Kind of good. I like to be able to get all of the little orb things but I guess I can't have everything.

Andromedus responds:

Glad you like the music - I wrote it using 'Reason 4' music software for the game. I'm sure there must be some free software somewhere you can download to rip the music out of the game if you want to have it on your ipod or whatever!

Cheers.

sliding

Its great, i like the momentum of the ball. But like others have mentioned regarding unneeded gaps, perhaps adding a visual hint that a gap is coming would remove some frustration. Anything from a sign indicating pause, to a visual hint of a 'void' zone, would prevent players from feeling that their waiting.
Anyother means is to fill open spaces with unstable platforms. This would create a challenge zone that would force players who rushed down early to try and keep balance; well allowing time to pass before the gap ends.

Great game!

Superb game but some things could of been improved like:
~Different types music
~More lvls
~Harder lvls
~Maybe upgrades or a shop?
~More modes
~A lvl designer would be great

Overall great game
9/10
