Good Game

I like it, its much better then the original, however i do wish that you were allowed to downgrade stats, kinda got annoying how fast the hover bot was moving lol would have liked it better if it was slower, also very easy maybe some difficulty would make it better. But overall your going in the right direction with this game would love to see a third version made.

It okay, but a bit repetitive

It's a solid game, but it has a few issues. The sound quality leaves a bit to be desired as the explosion samples are distorted. The graphics are decent. The gameplay is a bit repetitive and somewhat contradicting. Metal disappears quite quickly in the game before you have a chance to collect it. The proper tactic to assault most robots is to keep a good distance and maintain fire. Robots move in erratic paths and can break up into smaller bots. Usually, you have to clear an area before moving into it... Unfortunately, all the reward for your efforts has disappeared. This means playing the game smart doesn't reward you.

To put it briefly, DO NOT EVER have key game currency disappear, especially the rewards for actually accomplishing game goals. Nothing throws the balance of a game off and screws up the game economy than having the only source of reward disappear before you have a chance to collect it. Anyway, where the hell does metal on a ground "disappear" to?

It's fun and somewhat challenging. But the lag at higher levels is REALLY bad. In priniciple, there's not much to bring you back to this game once you get everything

More about upgrades than the game

This game was addictive to me for a while: at the time of this review, I maxed out several upgrades, got over 10k metal in certain levels, and had a blast. I have to admit, you've got an addictive game.
However, the main problem with me is the upgrade system: everything in the game depends on the upgrades, not on the gameplay. I didn't like go to the upgrade screen in a battle to buy health which makes it easy to not die. The gameplay is pretty simple (hold down to shoot!), but repetitive. You have to have your mouse glued to your pointer finger and use the WASD keys like crazy to win a level, which requires no real strategy. You can easily replay a level many times to collect a surprising amount of metal and breeze through the game with high upgrades in the start.
It would be great to have a visual upgrade as well: when you upgrade a part, change the hover bot in appearance so that part looks cooler and better.
Another problem is that when you are too close to an enemy, sometimes the shot will "go over" them, and thus missing them, although the shot clearly marks the spot.
It would be great to include more upgrades like DoomRater said, increase metal gathered, make the metal last longer, and perhaps special skills that help make the gameplay more fun.
The one where your bullet number is increased/shot range is decreased is flawed, I regretted the option and would like for the option to downgrade it by one.
Only the gameplay needs some fixing, the art/animation/audio is all fine, but with due time, it will improve in the threequel if there is one.
