Tanaka's Friendly Adv.

Something of a mix between Passage and Polkadot, Tanaka's Friendly Adventure is a charming little exploration game that involves gathering a group of friends to attend the titular character's birthday party celebration. There's no time limit to rush you into doing anything, and the adventure can be replayed as many times as you want. You can also visit your friends in a special section accessible via the main menu.

The game is designed by bento_smile (bentosmile.com).

Boring. Entertaining. But Boring. Yes, that's a contradiction. I don't care. :)

What the Fuck?

I go back and forth real quickly, and I win? Stupid game.

Kind of nice.

It's a cute little game with nice music and graphics, and the "friends" are varied and interesting enough to keep you searching for them.

But in the actual game, all you end up doing is randomly choosing directions. At first I thought maybe it was just a maze where every room looks the same, but no, it's apparantly more like the Lost Woods in Zelda. Without any way to know where to go, you're not so much playing a game as you are idly pushing the arrow keys.

Though honestly, even if the exploration WAS better, the gameplay would still be boring if all you can do is walk around identical screens. A more varied and more interactive world is in order.

I dont know...

Its nice, but it its not that good...
As a game it is very bad
As an art game, not the greatest out there... In my opinion art should explore some deep theme, this game is about collecting different friends and how they are all unique, however it fails to reflect that you can only have a few friends that will always be out there for you, and that those friends are important, instead you hoard countless "friends" for your party or something...
PS: It reminded me of pokemon

....what? >_>

this was dumb no interaction at all and it didnt even make sense. he didnt even have his party!!
