First off the animation is huge, it's 12 megs big, so it'll take awhile to load. If you don't have the patients for that, then um... go watch something else. Something less insultingly huge. Perhaps a video involving cats, or excessive violence.

Well, here it is. The Legend of Link, Episode II: Oh Yes And Spiders.

You can find the opening theme music used in the animation at the m website, and the rest of the music over at http://ghostfacekilobyte.

It only took me forever to make it, and it required the help of dozens upon dozens of other talented people.

Also the first quarter or so of it is up on youtube. tch?v=WLtkxAPgkIA but it ends telling people to go to newgrounds to see the rest.

The Legend Of Link is a pixel art animation, made almost entirely with frame by frame animating.

Enjoy please.

Also, if you bother watching the whole thing (it is very long) Do watch all the credits, as many people other than me helped with this, most of them without newgrounds accounts and their effort disserves a moment of your time.

Updatey thing ---

Thanks to people who watched it. Thanks for front page. Though it's probably down now as clock day I'm sure has presented billions of frontpage worthy entries.

Especially thanks to everyone who gave all those really... really complimentary reviews. They creep me out but are very nice.

I do not thank those of you that hated the animation, but I do respect you. Especially those that reviewed it and said what they disliked. You're wrong of course, but I respect you.

--end updatey thing.

--Another updatey thing

I'm... back on the front page. That was unexpected.

Not that I mind. Whoever did that I thank them with all my little heart. It was kind of you.

--end updatey thing.

It was so horribly long and in its length, containing very little humor. The animation was good enough but the voice work was horrible.

Emptygoddess responds:

Damn me for even making it!

Thanks for taking the time to review it though, you're a peach.

poor, monotonous voice acting.

jokes have either been done before or are just boring, mainly to do with said vocie acting

not that great, and sprites are little to no effort .

Emptygoddess responds:

Done before? This is the first time that I er... uh... that... first time anyone has ever... said... done... i...

OH NO! You've found me out! I've not made completely original jokes. They're based on things like shared experiences as a culture and language and existence!

*sobs* you didn't have to be so mean though.

I really tried to watch the whole flash, but the guy you got to do the voice acting for Link really ruined it. I stopped when he started singing. I agree with the guy below, it sounds like a commentary on a DVD. You could have got more emotion out of Speakonia, which would actually make this 100x better.

Emptygoddess responds:

Speakonia... more like... speakno...lia..... yeah.

Oh man...

Seriously. I can agree that random, cock, sex, gay humour is not neaded. But some kid of humor is. I just watched a 30 minutes video of sprites moving around without absolutely any point. Nothing funny, nothing interesting. Only the animation is worth praising - ok job there.

Emptygoddess responds:

Ok job is not praise.

Not entertaining.

The animation was well done, even though it was just sprites running around and doing seemingly random/pointless things.

However, for whatever you did right, there were 10 things wrong.

First, the voice acting is pretty bland and uninteresting, monotone is a good way to describe it. Second, it lacks any decent, funny, or even interesting points in it for God's sake.

Sprite movies aren't exactly supposed to be deep or thoughtful, they're not supposed to be long epics, they're supposed to be there for a quick lulz.

Also, in regards to your comments, saying shit like "I don't thank those who hated the animation, they're wrong and mean" is juvenile and pathetic. It makes you look like an egotistical asshat. If people don't like it, it's because you as the creator of this flash failed to provide entertainment, it's not their fault you moron.

If you can't take criticism don't make flash movies, don't assume that everyone is going to love you for a 28 minute long piece of shit.

Basically, this was a waste of time for the people who watched it, and the people who made it.

Emptygoddess responds:

Nice of you giving me a three despite your obviously strong and well thought out opinions disliking this animation.

Though I find your decision of what a sprite movie is and isn't to be rather strange. Who decide this? Was there a council somewhere? A sprite movie council? I wish I was invited but apparently not fallowing their rules I was blackballed.

Now as for my comments... I only called the negative reviewers mean because they say mean things, like call me moron. Or say that everyone who worked on the animation wasted their time.
My only guess is they somehow take an artist endeavor I didn't make them watch as a personal attack. Which is pretty common. I'm sorry you took this pixel art animation about a video game character using references from an old cartoon so personally.

Still, I do appreciate those that take the time to write out their opinions. But I'm not going to thank you for insulting me or hating my work... I... don't know why I should. So I won't.

I will thank you for your comment on the animation being well done though. A lot of effort went into it, wasted or not.
