WARNING - Watch this submission first so these jokes make more sense. The movie itself seems like it is just random scenes, but if you watch the first one then it really does make a lot of sense. /portal/view/451966

This is a trailer to Beneath the Sheets 2, which will be coming out shortly.

Nick Lentz - Actor, Editor
Sispri - Artist, animator

Hmm let's go off on this big rant so I don't have to during a review. This is a video submission and it is allowed on newgrounds. No I will not put it on youtube for the following reasons.

This is a trailer to a series that is actually very well received here on newgrounds. The first episode has a score of over 4.00 and was greatly welcomed in the reviews.

Numa Numa and 100's of other video submissions were first submitted to newgrounds. Many popular artist and even the owner of the website have video files.

Telling someone to put a submission on youtube is abusive. If you don't believe me see how many of the reviews are left on my other submissions. (None)

So just review it like a regular submission like you should. Thank you and enjoy!

OMG i review it like a flash submission

The introduction was nothing short of amazing, nice job Yoshi7777, Sispri, or whatever the hell you go by now lol. I loved especially how the door was tweened to open on its hinges, and the looping black lines which create rain. The one thing I think is funny, is that you opened the door the wrong way; if you check very closely, you can see a small, black knob which is on the right side, which is the same side as the door hinges.

As for the rest of the movie, I find myself going, "what the f*ck?"
Nick played a great role of being unpredictable, especially with him muttering "shit" repeatedly.
All in all, it was very....hard to get the story of the movie, which is the whole point of a trailer-to get the viewer knowing what they'll be in for.

Pretty nice trailor

I liked the preloader you had here. The static and the door opening were pretty cool. I got a few laughs out of the movie, such as when he was holding the camera while driving and grabbing his balls or whatever. The "attractions" of the movie made me laugh.

It seemed some of the clips were kinda blurry, particularly the one where he was running.

A cool little tailor, it does it's job in getting people interested.

Makes me want to watch it.

Sounds like you got a good story line and some funny stuff. Makes me want to watch so I guess it's doing it's job as a trailer. I don't really know what else to say about it but I can't wait for BTS2.

For starters, I would like to say that yoshi did an AWESOME job on the title screen. It created a really scary atmosphere, which was really parodied by the trailer's humor and total lack of anything scary. :P
Once again, props to yoshi, you always make really cool stuff for these films, nice work! :D
In terms of the movie itself, it was exactly what I've come to expect from these movies. -A really well thought out and professional presentation with dynamic camera-work. (Did I lay it on a little thick)? :O

I can't think of much in terms of constructive criticism for the audio. The music you chose was very fitting for a scary theme and created a very comical atmosphere as it clashed with the sillyness of the movie itself. -Nice work in here.

I would say that the story seems to be the weak point of this film, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that this style of film is made better without the complex and detailed storyline. The random, silly humor is quality stuff and really made me laugh. That alone makes this more than worth my time to watch. :)

The humor was really the high point here, by far. The jokes that (though crude and predictable a times) really deliver a nice comedic punch. This was also really amplified by some fairly good acting.

Overall, I really enjoyed this. My only reoccurring issue with these movies is the quality of the video. But since there's not much you can do about that, I'll shut up. :P It hardly takes away from the quality of the film overall, anyway.
The bottom line is, this was too short and left me wanting more. -So mission accomplished, I officially can't wait for Beneath the Sheets 2. :P

Oh yeah, and fu, go back to YP pl0x :D

Can't wait to see it @:-)

The preview looks to be rather stellar and that the BTS II when it comes out will be rather hilarious to watch as well. I can;t really think of anything much to say considering this is merely a preview and not the full thing, I can't wait to see it and how it turns out.

Very nice job and details for a preview.

Needs work..

Reviewing a film is always harder than an animation, and I can't used my famous 3-step review system (Animation/Graphics, Concept/Storyline, Sound). However, I'll try and adapt it to suit this.

Imagery/Directing: 3/10
The lighting, especially in the car, was useless, and it was impossible to see much of their faces. I know that in a car, there isn't much room for anything extra, but you need to improve on that.

There was another problem in terms of colour. To try and make it seem as one movie, you need to keep a consistent general colour all the way through. This isn't always easy, so if all else fails, I might suggest going monotone..

The menu was done nicely, by the way.

Concept/Storyline: 6/10
This seemed fairly decent, but its hard to tell, as it was only a trailer.

Acting + Sound: 8/10
The acting was meant to be fairly melodramatic and humourous, and it worked, I think.

I liked the music used, it created the scary atmosphere, completely contrasting with the actual film.

Overall: 6/10
It was both intentionally bad, and bad at the same time :P

looks really interesting

Good job with this one man, really liked watching it. Though I really like how you kept the trailer suspenceful, which really makes me wanna see the full version. The quality was a bit lacking, it looked very grainy, idk if you were going for that sort of look or what but it seemed very fuzzy and really bothered my eyes. Though I really liked your main menu, how when you clciked play it opened the door to the house and went inside, very creative.
Nothing to hate here man, 5/5 from me, can't wait for the full version! :)

Worth waiting for?

Probably not.

I think that this is the sort of thing that you should have used for one of your videos, given that you're going over things like "rehashed jokes" and the like. Still, reasonably funny in the production of the piece as a whole.

Now all we need is to confirm our fear are true and that the finished piece is going to prove it was made on a shoestring budget, with sub-par acting and no trimmings at all.

It's only a blessing to know that you guys can use flash to add some hollywood SFX to this production :P

Good trailer

The menu was really cool, kudos to yoshi... Miharu.. no, Sispri for that. ;)

The music was well chosen. It creates a very scary atmosphere which generates a nice contrast to the images shown.

It's hard to judge the movie as a whole as this is only a trailer, but I think you've made a very decent trailer. At least it makes me want to watch the movie, so you've done a good job creating the trailer I guess. :)

Looks promising

For a trailer, it was well made. And I'd like to share Haggard's sentiment about the menu, very well done.

Although you mentioned you weren't going to release part 2, I hope you reconsider. Maybe not soon, but in the future I'd like to see it.

I was going to comment on the lighting, but seeing as how it was in a car, I'm sure it will look better when and if you create the second part.

The acting wasn't the best, but you guys can work on it.

My worst fear.

As come to life. Sure this trailer looks riveting but it looks to scary for us all on the newgrounds. I am protesting it I suggest PM'ed TornFulp about this.

I can say though that I truly enjoyed this one admitting overused shit. The music gave it an extra scary suspenseful lift and the preloader was well done. Hahaho damn.

I think a secret missing episode of beneath the sheets should be made here is the script.

Hello and welcome to Beneath the Sheets! Episode 37. This never aired on Newgrounds because it was way to awesome and had too much gratuitous anal sex. Warning you must be 133,713,642,527,778,330 seconds old precisely to view. *Cut to the spooky ghost* Hello I am the most frightening ghost in the universe and I am really really fucking scary. I am going to scare the shit out of you *Screamer for 2 seconds* Now that you are crying I am going to brutally rape you. *Censored rape scene* The end. *Legend You=the camera operator.

It will get millions of views and tens of thousands of votes.

A Non RRC Review.

Ah, since Nick made this and not me.. I'll review.

~ Quality/Video ~

The quality of the trailer is much better than the previous ones and much better than Beneath the Sheets 2 itself. Can't wait to see more stuff on the high quality high def. camera instead of this crappy camera we use to use. If this was shot with the new camera than I can see it being really epicly clear. Probably somewhere around 10 MB too, but it would look like gold.

~ Story/Content ~

The parts that were used in this trailer made me giggle a bit. I think the only part that could have been better would be to use the Mr. Snuggles part or maybe just a part of Nick rolling back and forth in the bed instead of the blooper of him sctraching his nuts. :P The ending scene where you just show a millisecond of the ghost is epic though and barely noticeable.

~ Audio ~

I like that you used both audio from the movie and music at the same time. A nice tip that we got from a reviewer on the first trailer. (See guys we really do listen. :P) The quality wasn't the best, but it was so much better than the video itself.

~ Overall ~

Beneath the Sheets 2 was such a fail, but you wouldn't be able to tell with how cool this trailer is.
