This is a rather basic side-scrolling shooting game. Use the arrow keys to move, and the spacebar to fire. Don't get hit, or you will lose health. Pick up health items and power-ups to help you survive. 50 kills is all you need. Very simple game, but alot went into it. It will be updated (graphically and functionally) if people enjoy the simple experience. However, I just had to get something out there. The BG music was something I found on my Harddrive that seemed to fit. Working on getting a different soundtrack working.

I've seen worse. A simple concept, simple graphics. Kinda hard, the enemies move too fast. Music was okay though. Keep working on it, but it wasn't that bad.

Not bad, but still needs work

It's definitely a good base, you seem to have a good engine running here.

My two main problems are:
Ship is too big, it's kinda hard to avoid crashing into everything

Enemies are a bit too fast, you can't move up and down fast enough to shoot them a lot of the time!

So yeah, improve these aspects and you'll have a good version 2!

Too short

It's pretty hard in the beginning, way too easy if you get a power-up, but most importantly, it's not nearly long enough. This could be a good start to a good game if you're willing to invest some time in it though.

some basic fixes

it could be worse, and it could be better. how to make it better:
have more enemies on screen, let them come in waves, or patterns. they are to few to enjoy blowing up. add a boss and/or mid -round boss.
the lazers: single, double, triple, with a rapid power-up. one power-up made the game very easy, and un-enjoyable.
the music was ok, it fit the game.
the menu: previous is avaible before anything is up. next continues even after the instructions are finished. they loop.
the size of the ship was akward. it seemed to large for the screen. i guess reduce the size by 50-60%. try to see what's visible and what works.

other than that, it's an okay game.

It was ok

I really like side-scrollers and shooters. The movement on this is a little too slow and cumbersome. It is a little hard to predict where the shots will land, so you have to basically just sweep up and down the screen to ensure a hit. Multiple power-ups should upgrade your weapon multiple times. I think the graphics on this are killer and the music is very appropriately epic. Keep working on it, but great job so far
