Oh, ok.
uh, wtf
lol handy hints
Don't mean to be a buzz-kill, but
...the sugar you're adding to the green tea is negating the positive effects of it. Your body utilizes magnesium, chromium and other essential minerals to metabolize sugar, and sugar ramps up the endocrine system creating artificial spikes in endorphines and seratonin/dopamine overloads. When sugar spikes the blood stream too much, the body reacts by releasing more insulin which has a dual-purpose ... 1) convert excess sugar to triglycerides, 2) open up the fat cells to go store it in.
Overall, an informative piece. Green Tea in and of itself isn't as life altering as if a person cleaned up their entire diet, though. A person can drink green tea all day, but if they're eating cheeseburgers and french fries instead of lean protein and clean carbs like beans, then it really doesn't matter. As an overall health approach, though, green tea is pretty decent. Not recommended for those who don't do so well with caffeine. But, as you mentioned, other teas exist, and they all have their merits. I personally like orange spice and jasmine, myself.
