Lamarr Is Going Home

Playing controls: Left & Right Arrows = Walk; Up arrow = Jump. Or use WASD (without S)
Note: ALL THE LEVELS ARE POSSIBLE! Two or three are just a bit trickier. If you really get stuck, just message me for the level passwords.

This game is based on an old Atari-2600 Bitcorp game called "Bobby Is Going Home", where the idea is to jump over the hazards and holes until you reach your home. I have adapted that game to a Half-Life 2 setting, depicting the homeward journey of Lamarr the headcrab after she is accidentally sent to Nova Prospekt during Gordon Freeman's teleporter accident in "A Red Letter Day". I've attempted to preserve a fair bit of the nostalgia value of the Atari-2600 in LIGH, but with a few "tech upgrades" here and there.

Lamarr is the cutest headcrab

too bad you made jumping too hard :(

A game?

I think this may in fact be the first game you ever submitted to Newgrounds! That being said, I wasn't that too impressedy by it. I mean, the graphics were really good, especially how I had no idea that little brown thing at the beginning was supposed to be me! It was however simply too difficult. Jumping over that guy in the blue clothes on the second level was simply impossible!

it looks good, but it's impossible at level 3

hard to me

i don't like timers at all plus can't you jump on peoples head?

'A Bridge Brigade (Abridged)' = Impossible

Level 3 is impossible - you can't jump over the walking things! Next time you create a flash game, try not to make it with pixelated sprites (a little advise for a good game).

TmsT responds:

This game is actually the exception to the rule - none of my older games used pixel-art for the sprites. This time I decided to make it look intentionally retro.

"There's no place like Ravenholm" = code for level 4, n00b! ;)
