There Was This One Time

This was the student film for my 2nd Year Animation Class at the School of Visual Arts. Our assignment was to design, produce and animate a fully complete film at least two minutes in length. The production for this cartoon began at the start of the school year in September 2008 and finished several weeks ago. The concept was simply, "So, there was this one time...when a bat, a rhino, a ferret and an old man all got together and played a card game."

Thanks very much to my voice cast and co-writers that made this film what it was in the first place...and thanks to Celia Bullwinkle, Mike Ruocco and everyone in my Animation Workshop that helped support and give feedback while the cartoon was being worked on. Enjoy the show :]

Good job, I LOVE this!!

pretty funny

"YHATZEE tripple word score." best line ever.

Is....is that Takahata101!?

Okay, I'm gonna keep this review short beacuse I wanna get something off of my chest. The animation was simply in your enjoyably whimsical style, with plenty of character and some original material! I had to say I laughed at the stupidity of the Rhino character often, and hell I actually fell of my chair. Okay shit's done, now I must know.... is that Rhino THE Takahata101, as in Nappa from DBZA!?

Funny, in a chain mail at work sort of way.

It's funny, makes me lol a bit, but there isn't any of the usual, over the top comedy I expect from a guy such as you. I could watch it a couple of times, but that's about it. That's not to say it isn't well done, however. I'm just saying the animation could be a bit less jagged and a bit more over the top, as well as the comedy. Voice acting is really well done, good job on that mark. This really needs to turn into a mini-series...... It's got potential, to be sure!

Nice 1st flash.
