Sonny 2 is a combat based RPG where you play as a Zombie, level up and gain items to advance to the next Zone.

Hello World,

Sonny 2 is finally here on Newgrounds! Sorry for the long wait, but we really had to make sure that the major glitches and bugs would be fixed before it's published. This version also has two additional Zones more than the original Sonny 2 release! Here's what the game contains:

- 5 Story Zones.
- 3 UNIQUE Character classes.
- 3 Difficulty game modes.
- Fully voiced dialogues and cutscenes.
- Improved AI!
- A Local PvP Mode.
- 2 Bonus "Boss" Zones.
- Loads of new items, characters, and spells.

I hope you have as much fun playing this as you did the first one! If you thought that the original Sonny was easy, then I recommend you start this game on either Challenging or Heroic mode :)

<3 Krin

PS: "Legend" unlocks Zone 7. GL HF.

I will admit, this sequel is pretty darn fantastic. The only bad part about ti is that it presumes you played the original, but other than that, I enjoyed it very much. BRAVO!

So many things wrong with the game:

1) It's just too damn difficult. This isn't just because the enemy AI is good, it's because it's bullshit.
2) The difficulties aren't spelled out: I don't know what I'm singing up for when I enter "hard" mode, so when my computer is lagging and then I don't get to make a move, how am I supposed to even know what's going on?
3) I might have chosen the highest difficulty, but there's no reason for the training fights to be so damn hard; it makes grinding impossible, which is essential for the boss fights where they have like a million health and deal so much damage it's unreal, only to then shit on you and heal back to full after you waste most of your focus and 40 turns to knock them down to half health.
4) You just get random damage, everywhere, for no good reason. Suddenly, when the opponent boosts their speed by 400%, their attacks do 400% more, even when they're clearly using an already-seen buffer spell.
5) Why do I get stunned when I'm blocking damage? That makes absolutely no sense. You shouldn't take any status ailments when you're blocking damage, it's just stally and if the opponent is actually randomly selecting moves, they could alternately stun me, meaning that I never get a hit in.
6) The enemy randomly heals themselves insane amounts of health when the math clearly doesn't make sense. They use moves that clearly work off their instinct, but when they heal from "terrify", they heal like 500 health, even though they clearly aren't doing enough damage with said moves.
7) The stacking and spamming status is just BS, and needs fixing.
8) If you make a move after your teammate that randomly attacks an opponent, you don't make a move - if you can (no pre-requisites), you should just attack; I shouldn't have to be wasting my time because the AI makes random decisions. It's not that I have a problem with friendly AI, it's just that it indirectly hinders me through no fault of my own.
9) I can confidently say that (even though, yet again, there isn't a whisper of it!) speed is dependant on accuracy. What is this, OHKO moves on Gen 1 pokémon? They changed that for a reason; it's annoying. If I invest in speed so that I can actually fricking land a hit, I can't hit hard enough.
10) The training scaling is silly. Because the opponents scale with me, I can't see how hard my hits are for the actual boss fight. I understand that I can't be gaining good exp for killing easy targets, so just make it like Sonny (non-infinity stage) where you have to fight a lot.
11) Couldn't complete the story this time round, because the game's too fucking hard (I have done before, but I don't remember it), and I refuse to accept that I should have to play it on an easier difficulty to get the story. I ALWAYS play games on hard difficulties, because the game lasts longer and it's more immersive, but there's nothing immersive about non-progression due to how difficult the game is.

I almost like the movesets, but some seem too similar and I feel like there's no point to them. I enjoy the improved cutscenes, and the friendly AI is alright. Enemy AI problem: They seem to make moves that work together. If I can't choose what moves my friendly does, then they shouldn't make moves that work well, because it just puts me at a stupid advantage.

If you play this game while listening to ICP or Kenny Rogers The Gambler its really quite interesting.
