Four very short animations on the subject of being alone. The style is supposed to mimic traditional hand-drawn animation. This actually came about because I wrote a piece of music that ended up being very emotionally evocative and I wanted to add some sort of visual component, but then it took on a life of its own. Kinda sorta.

FYI - there are some syncing issues, depending on your computer's processing power. It should still play, but the timing might be a little off.

Wow! 10,000 views and a daily feature award, all in less than 24 hours! Man, the internet is crazy! Thank you to everyone who gave up four minutes of their life to check it out, and especially to those who contributed a review. It's great to hear that people found it to be meaningful on some level.

There have been a lot of requests for me to post the song. At the moment, the music file is chopped into pieces for Flash purposes and also it doesn't have an ending. But rest assured, I will try to make something available as soon as I get the chance. Thanks everyone for indulging my weird artsy-ness!

I can honestly say I enjoyed this

I loved how all of it tied in together. Music was fantasic, went well with the flash. The animation is 9/10 For the fact that people didn't move and for the ones that did the body movement didn't move fluently like an acctual human. I understand that this was hand-drawn so I'm going too deep into this. Keep it up, study different peoples movement (I.e. just sit at the mall and watch people walk) and write more music! I Enjoyed the emotion of the music.

Great work

I like the progressive style of the animation - the scene is constructed as the viewer looks on. The music definitely adds a strong sense of atmosphere to the piece. The style reminds me, at some abstract level, of the work of Edward Gorey, but clearly it is an original work.

Something I like it about it, too, is that there's a sense of honest classiness about it. You can't bottle and sell that.

Here's to hoping you may have an opportunity to share more of your work with the NG community -- and to the muses of the artist's career, as if it was an art form in itself.
