I gave this rating because:

The animation was fluid but repetitive, lack of music made it less interesting than it already is. It's a constantly used concept and has nothing new. Even with upgrades, new weapons, SOMETHING, it would still be generic.

The enemy ships designs were definitely abstract, but didn't make sense and could have easily been scribbled by someone with their eyes shut.

The color scheme remained stationary,and though was nice and appealing , and maybe a differing color scheme would have helped. Even then, this game has nothing new to show, and was prematurely submitted. More work should have been inputted to this submission, and even then, my rating wouldn't have faltered by any extreme length, nor moderate.

Generally, this game didn't have any flaws for what was there, but rather the flaw was that this game isn't good nor great and has been seen before. Other than that good job on what was made to be observed.

like Raptor's kid brother

no audio really annoyed me after awhile, as well as the short, choppy levels and being able to complete without doing anything to the enemy ships. with some work this could be a good take on some classic games. perhaps upgrades, unlocking other ships, boss battles...this is a start at least.

maybe some upgrades for the fighter.

I had fun...

Although there are key flaws in the game, it was still relatively enjoyable.

There was no plot, something that often annoys me. The gameplay is utterly derivative. If you're going to utilize a concept that has been done plenty of times before, it's usually preferable to put some sort of spin on it, to make it interesting. The backgrounds were utterly bland and uninteresting.

There doesn't seem to be any variety in enemies (Although I might just have not gotten far enough into the game), which makes the whole thing feel rather genetic. The lack of music is also frustrating. Even a rather generic or irritating tune is preferable to none at all. Finally, don't put the percentage of killed enemies. I really don't care how many enemies are left enough to decipher the percentage points; I just want to kill the ones that are in front of me.

The game is mildly fun, and with some effort, could be decent, at least. With what's there however, it simply isn't.
