Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

NOTE: Play with headphones in a dark room for the most atmospheric, frightening gaming experience.

You remember going to sleep, but regain conciousness inside a frightening and surreal landscape. Could it be that you are trapped within your own nightmare? One thing is for sure, you need to escape!

Use the mouse to move and find/drag/interact with objects.

I put a lot of work into this, and I hope you enjoy! Please review :)

This classic game scared the shit outta me first time I played it. Back when I didn't have a spine. Hehe.

I just wanted to second the comment below. I played this when I was like 7 and I LOVED the style you did and still do. Even if you didn't make more games, definitely make more artwork, like animation shorts or stills. You could be the next Firth imo.

I played this game when it came out all those years ago, must have been nearly a decade now. I was a kid, so I didn't really get the puzzles (I'm 24 now, so I must have been 14-15?) anyway, I always remembered the beginning zone, where you first get into the game, with the bubbling cactus. For some reason, the image of the red glowing stars really stayed in my brain for all these years, and one day I was just here on this website again and decided to play this again and actually finish it this time. It was a huge trip down memory lane, and to this day, the game is still scary, just less frustrating than it was 10ish years ago. I doubt the author will read this, but you got mad props from me, bro <3

thanks dude i did read it... i should make another... :)

I loved the concept of dying to progress. I just wish it made more of an impact on the game in general because only one time did you actually HAVE to die to progress, and honestly? I didn't even go through the door that it opened because it wasn't required to complete the game. I did love the little jump-scares though. The first one where reading the text caused you to die got me and my brother by surprise. Very well played. The eerie background sounds added to a suspenseful air, but in all actuality the game wasn't too creepy. I feel like shorter jumpier animations would have made the jump-scares more impactful. As it is the animations seemed to be too fluid to seem that scary, but still got me anyway. I liked the idea of the alternating doors that allowed you to choose your destination by opening or closing the eye, but you should have made that more impactful by making it a "no turning back" kind of experience. We've established that dying was an important feature of the game so that would be a way to build on that.

Interesting puzzles, but the lack of diversity made it easy to brainlessly walk around collecting shapes which corresponded to others. Would have had liked to see a bit more variety in the puzzles. Overall, fun to play and has a great spoopy atmosphere. Would be nice if it was a little longer, too.
