Crazy Tracker is "Off-the-Rail"
Regarding originality, there are other games with a similar concept--Jetman, for instance; however, this game surpasses Jetman in most, if not all, aspects. The use of power-ups in near perfect--not so few as to make them irrelevant but not so many as to make the game effortless. The concept of a gear attempting to escape its mechanical prison is quite original and rather comical. Most games of this type only have stationary obstacles, whereas this game has primarily moving obstacles. It took me a few levels to figure out that you can ride along the top and bottom edges without damage, which is just about the only way to avoid some of the obstacles (not that this is a bad thing).
The only downside is that the game does not become challenging until about level 13; also, the game will not allow you to grab the bonus point pick-up while the wing power-up is in effect.
It should be harder and get different after each level.
I think that originality is a key to success on Newgrounds, because people don't wan't to play a game that's virtually the exact same game they just played a minute ago. This is one of those games that I'll try to find if there's a bad selection of games on the frontpage. Great idea, good pace, I loved how it started out easy and got faster and faster, great choice of music, and of course, it is one of the most original games on Newgrounds.
fun game,i got to like level 12-13.nice music and it wasn't to easy or too hard.it really starts picking up after a few levels
open a new tab before you do this, right click and freeze the game, then click the new tab open and dont go back to the games tab, the gear will disappear and you can pass every level while you shop/play other flashes. :3
