It grows on you
Admittidly, when I started of I questioned the whole point of the game
Yet when it started raining stars quicker and my platform started getting smaller I did find myself hooked.
A nice little survival game which doesn't punish you tremendously for your mistakes :)

Nice music and gameplay sucks on the beggining but at the end it kicks off :).

Just lacking
First, to touch on a couple design elements, your game could benefit from some sound effects (rather than just the techno loop) and some more effort in animation. You should have some sort of sound effects for when you catch a star or when you fail to catch a star. Also, there should be an animation for catching the stars, rather than just having the stars disappear into your paddle.
Also, I don't know if this is just because of my resolution (which I doubt, because my resolution is good) but the display window is too tall. You have to scroll up in order to see your score and lives, and doing so puts the paddle out of view. You should shorten the display area.
A main reason for the low score (in addition to the shortcomings I've already detailed) is that this game just seems somewhat derivative. There are dozens of "Catch the (blank)" games out there and this one doesn't offer anything new. You should try to come up with some unique elements to make your game more original.

The concept is new, and for an idea like mine... a 4 is just ridiculous.
