Amazing game yet insanely difficult.
I've tried over and over to get Satan in the last level but i swear its impossible!
This was probably the most addicting game on newgrounds. It reminded me how back whith the SNES, how many people tried to mak up a new way to play a puzzle game. It is by far my favorite. I hope there is a second one soon. i would not be surprised if this goes onto the wii shop channel or xbox live. Good work.
This was impressively unique and interesting, as well as very challenging. To be honest it made me feel like an idiot; I didn't get especially far, but that's my failing and not the game's. This is a submission to be proud of.
Excessively good fun!
Another Megadev classic. This game makes me want to rip out my keyboard and replace it with a snes controller! Addictive, challenging, engaging and far too much fun for it to be legal, I spend hours on this game without even noticing. The graphics are crisp, eye-catching, original and professional and the sound works in perfect unison to create a very 'Megadev' feel. A great idea realised in an exceptional format that anyone can enjoy, regardless of their rig's specs.
Freakin' marvelous. Well done guys!
Genre crossovers! Huzzah!
Wow! This is really great! I was expecting to not like it when I first switched it on, as I've been growing more and more tired of all the block puzzle clones, but you really did something unique here. I like the idea of drilling around through the blocks (rather than the usual swap-and-match-three rigamarole). It's also fun the way you are eliminating blocks to try and bring two tiles on the grid together (hero and key, hero and door) rather than just trying to eliminate tiles. It provides an actual objective to eliminating the blocks. Plus the extra items you can pick up feel sort of like side-questing, which is fun.
The monster encounters are really well designed, too. You can actually fight with them, but fighting with them also requires puzzle-solving.
In my opinion, the game you've create is a better crossover puzzle game than puzzle quest. This is really interesting stuff!
If I were to make one request, I would ask for some sort of in-game tutorial. It's okay going to a different site with an instructional video, but it would be much more handy to have everything right there in game.
Adding this to my favorites. I'll keep playing it, and I'll keep the sequel in line as well. Kudos on a job well done.
Thanks for your comments, and glad you liked the game. :) The tutorial was a bit of an experiment which obviously back-fired, and in Knightfall 2 (which is also on NG) we went way over the top with a very lengthy tutorial! You should definitely play the sequel though as there are lots of improvements and new features. :)
