It has a big glitch problem. But it's still good.
When I got to the last level I jumped o the bridge when it was cut down then I landed on The Big Boss, when I jumped off him I just fell and fell and fell.
You need to fix that.
Edit:Just so you all know, this is my first Newgrounds flash game.
Improvements from 0.7 to 0.75:
-Sky and clouds
-SAVE SYSTEM ACUALLY WORKS ( saves health, lives and level )
-pink scared enemies
( sorry that there are still only three levels, but chapter 2 and 3 are soon to be )
Thanks to everyone that wrote ( helpful ) comments on version 0.6 and 0.7.
I am still looking for some nice 8-bit style music. Oh and also if you would like to help on the project, or think you could help, PM me. ( IM GETTING DESPERATE FOR SOME TUNES!!! )

hmm...
not bad... but it does need a little bit of work.
definitely needs music and sound
I like it
It has a good retro feeling and i (for some reason) like that his head is hallow so you can see the bakground. I do hope there will be a 0.80
if you jump you get across the bridge
why do the trees have outlines pixels never have outlines
also fix that glitch with the bridge
good game
Ye Olde Skool
I really enjoyed this. The mechanic of turning around to defend is a simplistically great choice for the approach of this game. I loved the art style. Even though they're just giant pixels, the trees definitely had their own flair to them.
Though what you have here is short, I know you know that, so I see no reason to hurt your review rating points for it. And sound is also a known issue, obviously.
I like what you've got so far, and I see a lot of potential for it. The fact that the dead squares (erhm... pixels, sorry) are labeled "DEAD" is awesome. What's even more awesome is that I can continue to hit them and slide them around after they are dead. What would also be cool is if I could jump and stand on them. This could make for an interesting mechanic, in that I could be turning enemies into, essentially, crates for reaching high places, or for weighting down puzzling switches.
Anyway, I like it so far, and you can be sure that I'll be checking out chapters two and three when you post them. I can't wait to see the other pixel enemies you've cooked up. Keep up the good work.
