Hello everybody,
This is my first flash game, and I am fairly new to Actionscript in Flash, so it definitely won't be as good as some of the other awesome flash games you can find on Newgrounds and other websites. I hope that the experience that I gain through this game will help me create better games in the future. Thanks for playing my game, Cosmic Explorer, and I hope that you enjoy it.

And you did quite well for your first game.
Trying put up the FPS a tad, I felt the game ran a bit slow, also make the playing area bigger, there was no room to move.
Other wise the games graphics were ok, the idea was good and I feel you did well.

its way too hard
its a good idea, but its way too hard to play. It's extremely frustrating, because its so easy to die. You lose most of your life in the second stage from those green balls, and then the meteors kill you in one hit.
If you fixed the hit box on the ship, it would be much better, because it gets damaged even when its not touching anything. Its hard to maneuver the ship when something can damage you from a foot away.
Work on these issues and it will be a much better game.

You are definitely right about the game being too difficult because of the messed up hit boxes. In the game, I used object hitTests, but maybe if i used point hitTests, that would fix the problem? I'm not exactly sure how, but I'll be sure to fix this problem when I find out how, and thank you for your review, jcsoldier11.

The game was a little unnatural, but you tried. You get an 8.
eh...
this was not that good, yo be honest. The enemies wouldn't die, the physics were lifelike(you press forward, you don't stop), bu t all in all, not very good.
