Can you imagine an insane mix of Puzzle and Simulation?We, from Mother Gaia Studio, have already done that!

In this fun and exciting game, the player joins the unique experience of being a mayor of a city that, like all others, grows in an unpredictable way. As the mayor, the player will be challenged to take fast decisions that provide sustainable development and quality of life to its residents, scoring more and staying more time in the mayor's seat.

Complicated? Not a bit! City Rain has simple mechanics: the building fall from de sky, or "rain", randomly and it's the player's duty to choose where is the best place to put them. But don't think that the player is all alone in this task. He can count on Catherine, who will help him by giving advices or criticizing the administration of the city.

sorry but

Well it looked like a good game but my arrow keys dont work so i was unable to play im sorry about the low rating but there should really be an option to move with the W S A D keys and just be able to rotate the buildings by clicking it. However i generally do like these kinds of games.

needs work

i like the idea, and the graphics are good and teh music fits but somethings need some fine tuneing, like the building randomizer and and few other things, but still is a good game

Nice start

It's a cool game, really. I like the concept very much, and it's a nice workable execution. Some finetuning can make this a great game.

Although I was a bit overwhelmed at first by the controls, they work quite nice. I'm a lazy bastard that actually likes to use the mouse though.

The trash seems to come rather at random, also after putting the recycler. There should be some kind of regulation, where the amount of people is linked to the amount of trash.

Actually, I can't see the population size anywhere. But it would be nice, as the amount of power would depend on it, the amount of crime, the amount of schools needed,...

Another unlogic thing is the housing. Without housing, no population. I would suggest to make the playboard a bit bigger, and add one residence to start with.

And then you can start to play with ratios.
-Each residence has a number of people. If you randomize the residence units (say each unit has 20 families of between 2 and 5 persons. Upgrade to an appartement block, and you have 100 families, and so on.) To make it really realistic, you can let families grow bigger and move in when people are happy, and move out when people are unhappy.

Then for each so many people, one school is needed, so many jobs are needed, and so on. Jobs can be given by a school and police(low), hospital (middle), industry(high).

The amount of buildings is nice, but you can add a few extra's like an administration building, a post office, to name a few. In the help, you talk about a range of the building, but I missed that one. It would be nice to indicate a range of a building on the playing field when dropping it. Or even when clicking it.

The range of the building can affect a number of things. The distance between the residence unit and a shop for example has an impact on the pollution rate. People have to take the car to go to the shop.

You do talk about pollution, as you have the air cleaner and so on. Also here should be a range : the air cleaner has to be as close as possible to the factories, a recycling unit as close as possible to the residences and so on. A residence likes wood and parks around and not industry, but the further away the industry, the more people take their car. well, you get my drift ;-)

Anyway, it would be nice if I could monitor the pollution too.

Now combine all this, and the game requires a lit less luck, and a bit more strategy.

And if you're still here after all my rambling : I loved playing the game. Played it ten times in a row. Thx for the game.

Good point, creative game, but could use some work on the randomizing of buildings

Thanks a lot! Yea, you got the point. We already have a better randomizing of buildings (sometimes was pretty annoying when it just happen to appear one kind of building) so expect for it to appear soon.

good concept

but the way this game was made was poor beyond belief, go back to the drawing board

Poor beyond relief, ha, well, that's your opinion. Thanks anyway. Hope next time we can at least create a game that is poor within the belief. Just a cup of mushroom tea and things get colorful.
