This short, pointless cartoon is my first flash project using characters from my "Mortasheen" world, a realm of grotesque creatures I illustrate and develop for fun. It was originally intended for various game projects, but I never learned how to make my own. You can follow a link at the end to see all of its current monsters; over 320 I've drawn in pencil over the past few years. I'm sure you have noticed by now that drawing monsters is practically all I ever do, and nearly all of my Flash work is just another vehicle for that. I've been doing it since I was a toddler. I probably come up with a dozen creatures a day, and just wish I had the energy to draw them all.

I know this is just some dumb cartoon gags and not much of a plot or ending, but I had to make SOMETHING involving these guys. I also know the tiny eyeball guy bears striking similarity to a character from Gegege no Kitarou (one of the only anime series I respect) which I suppose is about 50% homage and 50% the simple fact that there's no easier way to draw a tiny eyeball guy.

If anybody likes this, I implore you to comment on my other Flash submissions as well. A few of them went largely unnoticed compared to some of my other submissions, and that includes a few I put my greatest time and effort into.

If you DIDN'T like this...you should check out my other stuff anyway, because it varies wildly in tone, pacing and genre. It's still all just a bunch of damn monsters, but some of it is funny, some of it is creepy, some of it I kinda hate myself, and some of it I'm genuinely proud of.

you been doing this since you were a toddler? dark......

Ya got a wild imagination goin there. XD

Great job, the flash it self is a bit wierd but it's just perfect. The idea and all the monsters being unique is a real big thing nowadays. :D
Don know why but somehow I had the feelin of doom or quake. XD
The graphics are great and the animation's so smooth. Kudos I must say. ;)
Keep up trhe good work and make some more. :D

Very creative characters.
I love how the saw-billed character "talked".
It was also a really cute story.
I usually prefer something like this to an in depth plot.
At least for a short flash movie, where I don't plan on investing a lot of time or thought in watching it. :)

I loved this.
You should be proud of yourself.
I especially liked the characters.
Hope you make more!

Grats! :)

I already saw this, as I voted on it's submission, but I had no idea it would hit front page. The creatures were very cool and unique, and it seems as if you took the monsters from your art pieces and brought them to life. It's very cool. ^^ 5/10 and faved.
