you know more about flash than i did after a college course arrgghh! the fact that the course was on history might have something to do with this

Okay, I will level with you here. I started flash for the very first time less then four days ago. I had no experience with programming, photo shop, illustrator, or any other adobe product. So, before you judge, remember that I just discovered flash four days ago and this movie took me about a day to complete.
This was, essentially, just a test in applied knowledge. My first flash ever, so if you have any technical criticism, then please don't be a dick. It would be greatly appreciated but....don't be a dick.

Decent Short Film. Strong Animation Skills
This was overall solid and fundamentally sound as a flash movie. Considering the fact that you had only been using flash for four days, I would say that this was a flying success!
Besides the fact that your animation was crisp and clean, you had a pleasant sense of humor that will serve you well as an animator.
My primary advice to you would be to plan our your movies before hand, focusing equally on plot and animation and you can be very successful here.
FYI - There was a red line on the right side of the screen in the "Earth scene" and credits.

Right after I posted the movie, I noticed it (the red line), but I didn't fix it since I decided to focus my efforts on a project that wasn't just one day of fucking around.
Boo-yah! for the compliments, they are greatly appreciated and will definately help push me to do better work.
I have something in the works now that should take me about two weeks (mainly the art and animation, it's not a game), which I'm stoked about.

Thanks for the 6, didn't expect it to pass the portal at all really. Everything did work as expect. The whole point was for the buttons, sound, and trying the animation thing. Though the explosion was lacking, my appreciation for your review is not.

Could be better. Nice job on your first try though! Work on your explosions and you could improve the overall concept of stress release through planetary explosions. I want to see an updated re-release!

I wholly agree with you, the problem (as of right now) is that I am in no way an artist. Like the description says, this is just a test in applied knowledge. Testing the Flash program for the first time.
Thanks for the advice, I thought the actual "explosion" was rather wanting.
I never thought about redoing this after I uploaded it, but now that you mention it (when I have a bit more experience) I may just try to do it. For now, I'm going to just do better with more.
