Make a simple tank game! Run around and shoot stuff!

A to rotate counter-clockwise
D to rotate clockwise
S to shoot
Arrow Keys to move

Good enough!

even it's not complete with enemies and stuff
it's good!

Thanks! :D

finally a tutorial that talks about more than 'how to make a button' -

Kwing responds:

Can you explain why you gave me a 2?

I've always liked the flashes you make Kwing. This tutorial helped me out a bunch for my Tank Game. It's called Tank Fortress where you battle it out with your tank on various types of levels. I added a few things to the actionscript that also set the rotation for SouthEast, SouthWest, NorthEast, and NorthWest. I'll set you up as either Additional Programmer or Programmer for Tank Fortress.

Wow! I guess this was pretty good time xD

Nice Try anyway

Hi, I am not going to bash you or anything but this really isn't a very good way to make bullets fire. When you are rotating and your bullet moves with the rotation something is very wrong. You said that you did it this way to prevent the player from firing too many times. This could be handled by adding a delay. Duplicate Movie clip or attaching an instance of the bultet is so easy and yet you used a movie clip. If you were hitting a target would this even be effective? Also it would seem strange for your bullets to bend like they do following the rotation of the turret since they are all connected.
