Finally Lilg and I are back again with the long awaited sequel to Griswold the Goblin. It's been a long journey for us, with many setbacks, sidetracks and almost a year of development.

In this first chapter of this new on going saga called "Islands of Fire" you must help Griswold find the Goblin City. You will have to collect many items, solve puzzles, play several mini games and even navigate a labyrinth to help Griswold in this new epic adventure.

Lot's of thanks must go to all the people who tested the game and to Tom Fulp for all the help he's given us!

...but I didn't get it. Maybe I just missed something I don't know. But I didn't seem to get pass the flower thingy at the beginning. I know there is a walkthrough but a game should not be intended to play with a walkthrough, then there is either something wrong with the player (probably is, seeing other did get it) or something wrong with the game puzzle logic.

Anyways nice game ;)

Agh. Must be you lol There is still quite a bit of game play before you can get pass the Fly Trap. I'd encourage you to give it another go. :)

It has been way too long... I've completed the first like 5 times now...... I NEEDED THIS GAME! And it didn't dissapoint either. Very well made. The music was good, the minigames were awesome... Really good job guys! Keep it up, can't wait for the next one.

Oh don't worry. With all the support we have already got for this one, we can't possibly bring ourselves to disappoint and not release another game or two in the saga! We hope to not keep you waiting anywhere near as long!

This game definedly deserves 10 stars

Why? The puzzles were brillaint, I really had to think things over and had to use the walktrough for a moment. i'm glad there is one. The original soundtrack was bothering me for a moment because it was looping and i still got it in my head. That doesn't mean the sounds was bad. Actually the soundtrack fits in this game and enjoyed the scene with the track playing on the background. that braings me to the animation and levels wich were also looking good and fitting. I don't have complaints about the gameplay so everything seems to be good. good job guys, this was surely a succes :)

We're very glad you enjoyed the game and appreciated the challenge of the game :D Thanks for the review

Its obvious you have a good talent for doing games. I can see clearly the effort you put into this game and in every aspect of it. From graphics to sounds, the plot and the interactiveness are just great. The responses when you try to do something stupid like talking to the lava are hilarious!
I think its very proffesional (as you like) and in overall one of the best-designed games in newgrounds.

Phantasmagor responds:

Thank you very much :)

great stuff...

great work indeed. its got that good old scumm feel i've been missing ever since lucasarts vanished into the oblivious thing they are nowadays.

full score on all fronts. the only downer being that it's so short :)
can't wait for chapter 2 to come out.

Phantasmagor responds:

Thanks a lot. We thought the game was pretty lengthy but I guess you must have a lot of adventure game experience unlike a lot of users. Don't worry we'll be bringing out sequels in a lot less time than it took to release this game!
