Not bad for a first submission. Good movement and sounds. Something you might consider is downloading a Newgrounds Preloader for the beginning, and also a Replay Button. They are both very easy, and I don't even know Actionscript! Good luck!

For your first flash...

... it isn't bad.It could use some story or something, but of course I'm sure this similar to a test of your skills.The graphics are better than a lot of the high rated 8-bit crap out there.And the audio was crisp, so put a story behind your next sub and you'll be crackin.

A good start

Nice use of expressioning with the eyebrow region, also nice sense of comic turnaround with thefirst object being the harmless one after hearing the beeps, however, it is very short, and doesn't really give viewers the time t realy gain appreciation for the character, also, you did good with a minimalistic approach, nut mure detail is usually required in general for a flash to become successful.
