very great series

this is my favorite video i have seen on the internet but it made me mad when "chuck's new suit", sad how people choice blood and violence over this kind of stuff, sure this had violent parts but "chuck" was just pure violent. the story was great, the music was awesome, and the art was amazing.

Well made but overrated

A tender story but this lacks originality and smacks heavily of generic Korean soap opera. Yeah sure, they use animals and symbolism and can manipulate your emotions effectively, but so what? Insubstantial love stories are a dime a dozen and there's no such thing as true love; get over it. It's true, I am an epic cynic. 5/5 for animation and 1/5 for content.

Great Achievement

I found that when watching this series I totally forgot I was on newgrounds watching a flash animation. I could go on, but there isn't much point, I'm pretty sure all the good things to say about this movie have been said already!

Love it...

For those who complain it's bland, pseudo-Japanese or whatever, let met explain what they were aiming for when they started this project.

First: It's Korean. The team are three Korean animators. No, it does not resemble Anime. No, it's not trying to resemble anime. The art style is that of "ManHwah", which in Chinese literally translates to "Comic book". This, along with Anime, is the predonimant style of the East, so obviously they're going to draw in that style! That it's not particularly stunning visually is not the point.

Secondly: To those who didn't understand the plot... how was it not obvious? There is so much attention to detail that if you were fully awake it'd be hard not to understand the plot (the first time I watched it I was half asleep, and I still got it.) I have read some say there isn't any colour. Colour is used all over the place as symbolism. Green is used for uniqueness- note how the scarf goes grey in step 4 when he rejects his uniqueness. Red for rejection, etc...

Finally... why the hell should it matter if the themes are recycled? Don't almost all "new" things recycle the old? To require something to be original to be good would be stupid. In the end, our expression of creativity is in effect recycling our own experiences... so even the most original of things isn't original at all.

Endpoint: I love this series. It made me cry. But I'll take away the happy message :)
