Over Thanksgiving Break, I thought "Why not write a Christmas game..." and thus this idea was spawned. Not being artistically inclined, I asked my sister for help, who created almost all of the artwork from scratch in Photoshop. Luckily, plenty of Public Domain Christmas music and sounds were to be found on the internet, along with a font, all of which I find fits together nicely. My goal for this game was to create something fun yet completely intuitive, as my last game received many high ratings, yet many low ratings from users who foun the concept confusing.

And of course, I wrote the game in HaXe, along with SWFMill, and a little bit of Audacity and GIMP, all under Linux.

controls were mildly ok....couldnt keep mouse still or santa, reindeer kept climbin fallin...if werent for coal could just sit on low end of screen go grab a snack, itch your nose etc...bout time santy got some munchies in midflight on xmas ;) yeah as flahlover said, could implement key controls for next similar based game ;), also kudos for ya co-artist, does better job then me :D i cant draw good wid a mouse,,,lol xD

quite boring, could use alot of enhancements, pickups? maybe? the control system was original though.

My main issue is you can pretty much just hug the bottom of the screen the whole game at stage age i was starting to get entire stage of coal with one item meaning i sat though most level just at the bottom of the screen waiting for one item to show.

Pretty Good

The concept has been used time and time again, but I really liked the animation. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The controls were a little offthough, like the reindeer moving in and out was too fast, and the whole sleigh moving up and down was too slow. Maybe the drag of the mouse on the sleigh just wasnt high enough. You could try with arrow key controls in your next game.
