E for effort
As an old school doom fan, it gets it's score for pure sentimental value. I've gotta admit it was a good attempt, but as soon as I started E1M1 and saw that the secret at the beginning of the level was missing... Well, let's say it didn't hold my hopes much afterwards.
This secret was changed throughout different versions of Doom -- the shareware version I'm using was an earlier one that didn't have that switch at the beginning. I'm going to track down a newer version and see if I can stick it in here. :)
well, i've played this game in it's original console and i didn't liked it.. i still second that emotion..
Mike, you are a god.
Perfect. Perfect in every way.
Great idea but
While it's a nice idea to convert an old epic fps into flash for everyone to enjoy, the fact still remains that it blows major that you cannot load your saved game after you closed the window and start the game later on.
You should be able to load games, even after you close the window. Do you have your Flash settings set to allow local saved data?
Even the cheat codes work!
The timing was a little bit awkward, but very much the game I remember (if you made any major changes, then my memory sucks, but oh well.) I'm glad to see the cheats that I tried worked, but with this game aiming to be a pretty direct port of the original, I somewhat expected it. Great work!
