This is my first flash game I've ever made.
Yes it is pretty bad but I'm only submitting it to get constructive feedback.

Thing Wrong With My Games:

-Well it sucks. ^.^
-The plane is basically a square bitmap image.
-Game play is really boring.

If anyone can let me use some of there asteroid and space ships work that would be great!
And yes you will get your credits that you diserve.

for a first flash

Well i have to say this is a very good first flash (most people that i know of start of with stick figure movies). There is some room for improvment but i know it is hard. I have flash and i am beginning to toy around with it. Well lets look at the positives first. You have some gravity and turn resistance. You also have audio which makes everything better in my opinion. The graphics are cool. Well lets now look at some things that need improvment. Well for starters your ship is a square which makes me angry latter on in the game because when the asteriods hit your ship without really hitting it. Another would be defence. I do not think a large spacecraft (in this case a fighter bitmap) would really go defenceless so add a weapon or two latter on once you learn the coding (remember your semicolens). Another would be a health bar. An asteriod would do oh lets say half damage and you would survive until another hits. Maybe even have ti so that if you get hit your ship becomes slower or the bigger the asteriod the larger the damage (an asteriod the size of a pixel would do about 1% damage while and asteriod the size of the whole screen would instant kill you). Maybe some lives and a dificulty setting (easy=many lives hard=few lives). A small background story at the start would be cool (you are an explorer and are going through an endless asteriod field) because i like those. I really think that a this is a great game. Hey with some effort maybe you can get a front page or an award with it. Well i think that the game gets a 7/10 for effort and that this comment is getting a bit long. Well anyway have fun with flash and keep on trying.

Thanks for your response, I haven't used flash too much lately.
There is a better version. Which I don't even know if it will come out.
It's a lot more improving.
Entered lives and stuff.
If I get around to it and finish it, I'll let you know. ;)

Lol nice

Can't say it sucks cuz i surely cant do better than that XD (never made any flash in my life whatsoever) but i would say it can beat a lot of tower defense that are made under 5min. And i think a lot of people can agree with me :P For a first flash its excellent, playing with it for about a month and maybe you can get urself on front page who knows :O

Impressive for a 1st game

I like how even though it's your 1st game the ship has turn resistance and gravity. Yay. I'd just add, if possible. power ups, and asteroid collision detection to be asteroid only and not the box around the asteroid :P Good start!

I need to find a better hit test code so that the asteroid and the ship is not just a square image.

nice concept

work on your graphics a bit, explore and experiment, also find some more code information on hit detection, that will really help you out I think because the asteroids hit you when they don't actually hit you. This is a good try for a first.
