UPDATE 1/11/12

The first details have finally been announced about the upcoming second and third episodes of the Fallen Angel series. The information can be found at my new blog (URL below). You can expect some big changes to come to the FASeries site in the upcoming weeks as more info about the new episodes is revealed.

Euphoric Creations presents...

Part 3

Here it is at last... the grand conclusion to the first episode of Fallen Angel!

Part 3 didn't quite make the Saturday release as planned (it's 12:45AM... I missed the deadline by 45mins), due to some issues regarding the dialogue in the film. After reviewing Part 3 I found that the voice recordings didn't encode properly, and it took me all day to make them work right. Some of the lines still don't sound great, due to the quality of the mic we used (I exceeded my initial budget long ago, and couldn't afford to buy a legitimate mic), but I have plans to re-record them in the near future when I find a decent mic to borrow.

Anyways, enjoy the film and let me know what you think!

I am going to give you a 10 for the entire episode.

Now to tell you why, and to add some...issues I have.
First, The fat guy was not too cartoony- you were representing a split-second interpretation and therefore it fits well to add impact - this is a cartoon.

Second- The bombs...were, in my point of view, too large to be submarine launched nukes. Some of your explosions looked hydrogen level...I reccomend, if its not too late to change this or if you do ever get around to editing the episodes, to either 1) change the method of nuke deployment for some of them or 2) tone down the explosions. They are beautiful explosions, and I'm impressed that you incorporated the vacuum of force. However, I seriously doubt that sub-launched nukes could have that heavy of an effect. Also - didn't the nukes have "property of the U.S." on them when they launched? Why would the U.S. nuke its own territory? Were these stolen nukes? There should be some sort of symbol explaining the plot to make it a little more transparent.

Why in the world would the soldiers shoot themselves? How would she survive this shoot-out? Ah well- the story-line doesn't always have to make sense for this to be an epic animation creation.

I hope episode 2 sheds more light on the situation she is faced with, for the first episode leaves a huge expectation of excellence. Congratulations on creating the top 3 best animations (well, top 1, but split up) and this will definitely go down in the annals of NG history.

An Awesome First Episode!

This movie, and I'm reviewing the whole episode and not just this one part, is very obviously good in many, many ways, but it's still marred by some dumb decisions, and some technical problems.

Firstly, the story is very good. In fact, throughout the movie I had a mixed feeling, somewhere between dread and elation, and I felt a little anxious because the whole idea hits very close to home. I can see this happening in the near future, which gives it a lot of credibility.

Secondly, the music is top-notch. I really enjoyed the music in the second part the most. Sadly the sound quality in the voices is extremely poor (I understand the financial troubles), and I couldn't help but get distracted by the poor quality compared to the rest of the sound effects.

Thirdly, let's take a look at the graphics... almost all of them were great, almost. All the jets, and tanks, and buildings, and nuclear explosions, earth, the missiles, the vehicles, the destruction... all looked wonderful. The main character (even though she was extremely over-the-top-perfect-bodied to the point of annoyance, and I noticed you couldn't help but put some camera angles in there to accentuate the fact), was not bad... although I didn't care for her face. The problem was that you slipped in some really CARTOONY stupid looking characters. The main example was the fat guy who was blown apart in this episode... not only did HE look like a Flintstones character, but when he blew apart his SKELETON resembled his body exactly, like a bad episode of the Simpsons. Why you would mix realism, with anime, and then add some cartoony stuff all together is beyond me... perhaps it's a new style you've come up with, or maybe it's your limitations as an artist (you're very good, though), I dunno.

But even though I made a pretty big deal out of them, my gripes are no big deal. In the end, this is an awesome Flash work of art. You should be proud of your final product, and I do look forward to seeing the upcoming episodes. Thanks for the experience.

Really cheesy heh heh. The nuke wouldn't have "U.S military" on it it'd have the branch. In this case most likely the NAVY. The people deployed to help out wouldn't be Marine corps, because there are like 3 of those guys and they're all off fighting on the front lines. The ARMY would be there because the national guard and the Coast guard would be the first two sent to help the people evacuate or get to shelters. Annnd the fabled EMP bomb wouldn't work. Don't you think someone would have done it by now? Allow me to explain, everything this century has EMP shielding. That's prevent electro magnetic pulse from scrambling the electronic signals a computer chip uses. Sorry to say, but nowadays ((Especially if it were in the future)) EMP couldn't knock out your cell phone :P. Much less helicopters made by w/e military branch that was from, or air liners. If you can see the mushroom cloud from where you are ((Especially that big)) You just need to kiss your *** and count to five.

Well, it doesn't deserve any less than 10 because it's all fictional anyway and it has realllly good animation and drawings and obviously you've worked very hard :]. I'll stick around for the rest because this could turn out very nicely. Good job! :D
