1. There is almost no luck involved with Talesworth. Opponents use a strategy to fight, just like you do. They don't pick randomly.

2. You cannot win on Normal by button-mashing. You must counter their strategy to achieve victory.

3. Level 1 is painfully easy by design to introduce you to the combat system. It doesn't start getting challenging until level 2 and 3.

4. The game is intended to be played on NORMAL. If you're playing on EASY, combat is just a click-fest with no strategy required.

grt game but some help?

Grt game 5/5 btu i can't get thru teh forest where i gota find teh dog. I treid for liek 5 minutes and teh closes i got was when it said i hear a wounded animal. Help?

jinxology responds:

You need to make a little map for yourself. That type of "maze" puzzle harkens back to text adventures of yore.

Very Very Good!

This game was perfect, I cant wait to see a 2nd one.

Some ideas for a 2nd one:

More Skill choices
More places to go in Town
Add a unlockable Char (That you get after beating the game one time)
More Side Quests
Maybe add a Pet or Sidekick
Make boss battles more unique
Add Stats

Very good game, 10/10 for sure

I love this game ! than you NG !!

Surprisingly in-depth game, if a little easy

Huh. Seeing the basic interface and the pitiful fights throughout level 1, one wouldn't expect the game to be as tactically in-depth as it proves itself to be quite soon afterward. While it's not exactly a _challenging_ game (although I did find the TechnoGnomes or whatever they're called to be slightly difficult for their level due to their lock-down capabilities, most of the other enemies were pushovers), the system is extremely fun and addictive, especially considering its simplicity. I haven't tried Easy yet, but I imagine it's no fun, so I won't comment on that part. Also, I've only played as a Psionic so far, though I'm starting a Juggernaut save file right now.

I really don't have many complaints about the game, if any. I guess it'd be nice if you had some sort of Hardcore difficulty or something allowing the game to be an actual challenge, but since it's one of those games which manages to be fun without being especially difficult, I can't complain too much about the ease of the game. Still, Krax being such a wimp did make the final boss fight rather anticlimactic. At least making the bosses more difficult would be nice. In fact, a sort of Boss Rush mode, accessible from the main menu after completing the game, in which you have to fight all the bosses consecutively without healing in between would be a nice way to challenge skilled gamers without having to make the game itself harder, though the latter is certainly still preferable.

Basically, just make the gameplay combatively harder (simply buffing enemy stats will do this; there's no need for an engine overhaul or anything), if not in Normal mode then at least in a separate Hard mode or something, and you'll make a lot of people happier I'm sure.

Oh, and make that find-the-dog quest less fricking EVIL, please. :P

Great game

Thought it was going to be a repetitive turn based game but this is amazing. The graphics, sound effects, fighting interface, variety of opponents, random events, upgrades were awesome, the AI should be less predictable though. Played as engineer, gonna try the other classes now.
