That went on for ages.. I've been playing it for the last few hours and it kept me occupied & entertained the whole time. It was quite simple, but that is a good thing for me, as if it was harder I would have given up earlier on. Good fun.
It could of done with more structure to the game, maybe doing specific missions that are be all and end all's - killing the president for example should of been more of a point of the game. Giving the game more of a story to run by rather than it being more flukey is what i'm getting it.
But it was quality, and was entertaining, and was a different sort of defence game also. Well done :)
Very Nice Work
A really great game. Very very very funny humor any many good hints to films (I laughed hard about Master Pain). Also very well thought game mecanics and good menu systems.
BUT: It was far to easy. Also I bought all bases and all weapons I never actually left my starting place and only used assault and railgun rifles. In the end only Railguns... was too lazy changing the Weapons and if some opeople died i just spam them at the enemy. To that come the powers... and same problem here, i just used supersoldiers and injection. Threw in a few clone minions for the fun but it would not be neccesary.
In the end i had a pool of 400,000 $ but nothing to spend it on.
Also I never saw the last two Helpers. was löevel 8 or 9 and did not bother to go up by doing a few pointless exp grabbing missions.
Oh and I did not really understand the point of the different lands giving different boosts to something.... how do i trigger them to... well send less people or somesuch. and add to that that i never did anything to the last two lands... it was not nessecary.
Adding up there were so much possibilities that just aren't nessecary to use. But that is what we are for actually, to hint you to things a creator cant see, or won't see, or whatever. ;) No offense here, I like your game and think you are a great creator, but sometimes creators tend to overlook bad things in their creations.
So, all in all: Keep the game as it is, but tweak the difficulty a bit. That was far too easy, my HQ was damaged only one time by a stray ninja in the last mission.
And keep them jokes comming, was funny as hell, darnit.
the only thing that made me annoyed is that whenever i saved it was like i'd ever done that idk if that is just my cp but it is really iritating
I am not happy right now... Although this is an amazing game. The game crashed for no reason and I guess it didn't save. I have been playing for 2-3 hours straight....
This is a good game, but...
There were a few things holding me back from calling this a perfect game. First and foremost, there was a tangible lack of humor, something that made the Mastermind series popular. There are some good moments to be had during the tutorial and at the end, but overall, it was lacked humor.
Second, once you started to get enough income per whatever the game measures it in, it gets pretty boring. You can buy all of the weapons, the best henchmen/patsies, all the businesses, and best turrets. You can get all of the bluffs, and a seemingly unlimited supply of minions. At that point, when you play, it's just to see the end. The only part that had any point to it once I started to get $2,000 per somethings was the missions. They were cured by patsies mostly, although a failed mission didn't hurt that much, since I could just spend as much money as I wanted on new minions.
Finally, the camera. I know I could lock it, but it still is bothersome, especially when my minions are at the perimeter shooting at something I can't see, whether or not I lock it. Also, it was very far out (but clearly not far enough to show the entire field), so there was very little detail to things. Even the different bases didn't have much variation to them.
I'd still recommend that any fan of either Mastermind or RTS games, since it has very deep gameplay with things that can you might have missed before. But once you get halfway through, the only reason to play is if you want to finish the story or want to see the end.
