I have a habit of taking too long to finish even simple projects, so one Saturday morning, I challenged myself to create a game before the weekend was over.
I set out to find an Atari 2600 game of which I could do a remake. Having Googled "Top 10 Atari 2600 games" I found a list with embedded YouTube videos. Among the entries was Kaboom!, an action game I had never played or even heard of before. I played a few levels in an emulator and started typing.

I completed Kablammo! on Sunday, and it ended up being the most fun I've had creating games so far. The gameplay is very basic, but things get pretty frantic on the later levels, and I think it has a nice rhythm to it.

A few days later I added a Score History feature in an attempt to up the replay value. Players can compare their 20 latest scores to see how much their skills have improved over time.

Thanks for playing!

Simple, but addicting

Simple concept, but a very addicting game. I love the fact that the game pauses if your mouse goes off screen. Gets very fast-paced and challenging pretty fast.

Very well done.

Great game!
Love everything about it. Simply perfect.
Currently my best is just below 30,000.
I noticed that the max score per bomb is 10, and if you mess up on that level, you'll go back to the hardest level of them all. Once you're at 10 points per bomb, it's all about hand-eye-co-ordination stamina.

Fast Paced Fun.

This is a pretty good little distraction. It starts off really easy but picks up steam pretty quickly, which was nice. This kept it from being one of those games I play for a minute and then shove aside, so congrats on that.

One thing, though... I got to 1640 without losing any pillows, and then when I lost one, the game just kinda froze and it didn't even take away the pillow. Perhaps it's an error with the new pillow every 1000 points bonus?

Very Addictive

This game is REALLY addictive! I never even got to 1000 points, but that just encourages me to play more and get better.

It is nice that the game can actually keep up with all the movement, it never lagged behind once, though some music would be nice.

Great job!
