"Knipsing Pete" is a challenging geographical puzzle game where the user has to locate capital cities of the USA. After an image of a capital city is shown, the user has to try to get as close as possible to the location of the capital.
Ugh, what can I say about this game? Nothing good, I'm afraid.
First, the in-game ads are unacceptable, especially for a Flash this cheap.
Everything about this game was SLOW. Slow loading, waiting for ads, waiting forever for the score, the slow and boring game play. Making players do all 48 contiguous states drags the game out too long. It should be a smaller number of randomly generated capitols to keep the game moving, and replayable.
What's worst is that there's no context for anything. We don't get to see what the right answers are and who knows what the hell the score even means? (Ah, it's finally finished -- 40409 by the way, which I'll have to ASSUME is good)
There is a MUCH, MUCH better game out on the internet that has cities from around the world, and actually shows you where the right answer is, and tells you how far off you were so at least the score makes sense.
First I had to wait through 3 advertisements before the game started. Then it took sooo long to choose where the state was and that was just so boring. Then the end when it came time to tally the scores. Just tell me dammit I really dont want to wait while i watch numbers just go up and up. Maybe add some action or anime to the pictures IDK just something to make it more interesting.
The game is really an 8 but...
When you have to wait longer than it took to play to see the final score, you gotta lose some points. I mean really, do you need to show the points count up that SLLLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWLLLLLLYYYYYY? Just pop up the score and be done with it.
To get a Nine rating, add a final screen which shows the US map with the capitals in their correct places and then a "Pin" where the player clicked on the map. That would at least let the player see how close they got.
Otherwise, it's a nice entry
The game was not exciting in the least bit. Especially, when you don't even care about the topic. You just keep choosing over and over and over and... At the ending after you guessed where every..single..capital was..it just kept counting the Total distance? It just kept going up and up for soooo long. I guess that meant how far you were from each capital? Weird.
