Wacky Pod Races

Wacky Races meets Star Wars.

And now here they are... The most daredevil group of wacky pod pilots to ever fly their pods in the wacky pod races, competing for the title of the galaxy's wackiest pod racer.

**Front page. Thanks. I'll try and answer your comments ASAP, but some of your questions can be answered below.**

This was done in Flash 5 (we started this many moons ago). It messed up when we put it in the newest version of Flash, so had to just continue working on in in Flash 5.

This is the length of an actual Wacky Race cartoon. No more, no less. And the animation style matches the original, so is more basic than today's styles. We wanted to match the original cartoons in terms of animation style, humour and music. All the music is original & is by Big Yellow Hand. It's done in the style of the Cantina band in Star Wars. All the voices either match the original Wacky Races cartoon (like Leia's) or their Star Wars counterparts (Like the Battle Droids, Jar Jar etc).

All that time really paid off

An excellent piece of work. This is definitely a great show to watch for the next 6-7? minutes. It's good, it's clean, and it's fun. It definitely spoofs both properties well.

i dunno what else to say.

It did seem to drag

but so did the wacky racers cartoon. All in all I liked it.

When I started watching I thought, "wow, that's a really neat crossover idea, I like it!" and the animation was pretty good too... but I have to say, it just absolutely bored me to tears. I forced myself to watch the whole thing to see if something really good was coming up, but it just didn't do it for me.

Granted, the original Wacky Races cartoons never excited me all that much, but I still enjoyed them to some degree. I really wish I knew what to tell you in suggestions for how to make this better, but all I can think of is that the whole thing just seemed to drag. I think the voices really pulled it down, there was not enough expression and enthusiasm. It sounded like whoever did the voices was pretty bored about it all too... I dunno... you've got a good thing going for concepts and animation though, so keep it up!

The animation fits in with the original Wacky Races cartoon. We could have made it a lot more modern, but then it wouldn't have felt like a Wacky Races cartoon. We sort of locked ourselves into that.

It's fair enough that you didn't like it, obviously not everyone will. But hopefully you'll like our next effort. It'll be completely different.

I agree

with the guy below me...haha below me....except i wont be as harsh.

Well done.

This a brilliant tribute to both the classic cartoon and the film franchise. I like how each character fit nicely together, and I liked the designs of each character. However, a few of the jokes were a bit weak although this is not unlike the original Wacky Races, and I thought that some of the voice acting was a bit... bad really. Dick Dastardly's voice could've been slightly lower in pitch and the announcers voice got a bit monotonous towards the end. Though overall, very entertaining.
