A string sim I made. I was trying to actually connect each segment, but the API kept on messing up. It could possibly be made into a game. I have seen string simulations before, but I have never seen one with gravity! Enjoy! Not a game, but there is no "simulation" category. If you know how to fix the API, please PM me. Thanks.

Brings back old memories...

Very nice, runs a helluva lot faster than your Scratch one. Good luck with the drawing API, that's a real pain in the ass coming from the "pen up" and "pen down" commands of Scratch.

Cyclone103 responds:

Yep, drawing API is annoying. Oh well.

Nice code

For something you did yourself this is pretty good. You still need to work at using the API commands. I pmed you a link for the pseudo code for a string sim, which was actually pretty hard for me to find. It should not be too difficult to implement in flash. Also, ask questions in the flash forums if you need help with it.

Cyclone103 responds:

Alright, thanks archmage. I still need API help tho. I already knew bout that site, Addzero had linked to it for his fire copter in the notes. I can probably try to use that technique for the actual game though, cause it is better.

Work in Progress

So there was a "string".
The String didn't have to much to a point to it though.
This could made into a fun little preloader easy, but first your going to have to do something more with it. An objective such as, keep the string away from the random dot or such.
Also, might i suggest that you have the string fall slower.

Cyclone103 responds:

OK, I can do that. Although the actual game concept I have in mind is a bit more interesting :P

All it needs is a kitty that chases the string and leaps for it. Then depending on your Sick NG twisted mind you could lead it on happy adventures or just make it run into random death traps. Lead the kitty into the blender. It could be an interesting indirect control system.
