I feel like this should have a higher score. It isn't a classic, but I enjoyed it. What was really great was how it was easy to understand. I just like the hotel location. I managed to understand it on my own after awhile. That was pretty satisfying.

It was quite nice to have these things to do. I didn't notice the vacuum cleaner at first. I thought the graphics were quite good. It was nice to just click on stuff. It was a pretty satisfying game.

Expectations not met

Having the game before it being one of the best games I have ever played. This game is much more complicated and challenging, which is a good thing. But it's runs ten times worse than the game before it. I also found the top floor quite annoying and I despised the fact that the appliances kept breaking. I really think the game ought tp have been much simpler in a variety of ways. One amazing point to this game though are the graphics, the pure three-dimensional effect was simply fantastic but i thought Jane was sort of downgraded compared to the guests the maid and the repairmen. You also don't have freedom of movement. Jane automatically moves for you, another bad point. If they were to make another sequel to the Jane's Hotel collection they need to really up the anty.

Living up to standards

Living up to standards is always hard, especially when you're predecessor is Jane's Hotel: a simple, fun game without many bugs.
The fist problem i had with this game is the second floor of hotel rooms, where it made things awkward when trying to give the phone to two people on opposite sides of the screen, as well as someone in between, resulting in a long, crooked and unnecessarily time-consuming path.
The second problem is the maid. Once in a while, she will switch instantly from watering can to vacuum, and sometimes will go room to room as opposed to walking back to the door she came out of, then to the second room needing cleaning.
Finally, the actual player herself. In Jane's Hotel 1, you could strategically position the character between the coffee pot and phone/newspaper, allowing minimal time when obtaining those items. In this sequel, the main character insists on always returning to the desk. Realistic, sure, but she should be allowed to wander around the screen like she did in the first game.
There are many other little bugs related to clicking, which I could blame on myself or the mouse sensitivity, but other than that, this was a fun game. It's hard to say whether the sequel lived up to the first Jane's Hotel, as graphic-wise, it's very pretty, while game play-wise, it does not seem to be as smooth as the first game was.

I'm ranting... And I'm sorry, but I loved the first game so much that I feel that the sequel should be something more than just a pretty face.
