"Olympic Challenge" consists of three addicting sports games (Olympic disciplines) combined with an easy to use challenge system that allows players to compete against each other.

We have picked three disciplines: 110 Metre Hurdles, Shot Putting and Sailing Match Race.

110 metre hurdles

The game is as simple as the real discipline: run as fast as possible and jump the ten hurdles. The controls are simple as well, press SPACE to jump - that's all. But beating the world record is far from easy - in this game timing is everything.

Shot putting

Shot putting, also known as petanque for fat men, is as much about controlling your strength as unleashing it. Controlling the shot is done by pressing SPACE, it is about pushing the shot to the limit - while being careful not to over step!

Sailing Match Race

The most difficult of the three games is the sailing match race. The position of the sails is controlled with the keys Z and X and the rudder on the arrow keys LEFT and RIGHT. The challenge is to catch the wind right, plan the best route and get the most out of it.

The Challenge!

The most important feature of these games is the challenge system, which lets a user challenge friends and keep track of their performance. The system is designed to be as simple as possible while still giving the user features like friends-highscore and ghosts.

Friends-highscore: if a user challenge or accept a challenge from a friend, they will be able to always follow their friends improvements in the special frinds-highscore.

Ghosts: To make the game more competitive, all ranked scores are stored in the database and whenever a user plays, they compete against "ghosts" of previous runs like: best ever, best of day, closest better score et cetera.
