I was on the plane to Seattle for Casual Connect (a convention for casual game development) and somewhere above Oregon I decided that I really wanted to make a top-down shooting game, so I decided to make a game where you try to shoot as many things as you can in a span of sixty seconds.

A bag of chips later I got my hands dirty with bitmapData and experimented with it. My code teasing continued throughout the week, so this project was two-fold... learning something new in Flash and applying it to a game genre that I really wanted to revisit. So "Sixty" is the result, with graphics that evolve with your success and the thrill of beating your own high scores to boot. The graphics are somewhat wild at times, possibly overwhelming. Enjoy the minigame.

Quality is automatically calibrated. If your computer is in frowntown you can launch as a pop up or try using a different browser.

Controls: Arrow keys/WASD to move, mouse to aim and fire.

P.S. You look fantastic today :)

354 on 8th try

Liked it a lot, especially because you need different strategies in different phases: Start hunting them (first the biggest crowds of course) then go close to one corner (not too close) and shoot into the middle waving up and down until there are not too many left which can be hunted down. Then go into the middle and just spin around like mad.
Btw, collecting upgrades as fast as possible also helps :-)

Actually after all the game is not suitable for longer play, not only is it more or less always the same, the crazy colours also cause eye cancer, this is why 9 stars are good enough I think ;-)

PS: The easiest games are often the best ;-)

LOL too intense. no epileptics PLZKTNXBAI

very amusing for a short while but eventially it gets to reptitive.

Fun game

Enjoyable and really makes you challenge yourself to find a faster way.
Sadly, this "faster way" of killing them caused me to throw out the movement completely in favor of simply spinning in circles firing. Average around 300 per try.

Still very fun, good job.
