I was on the plane to Seattle for Casual Connect (a convention for casual game development) and somewhere above Oregon I decided that I really wanted to make a top-down shooting game, so I decided to make a game where you try to shoot as many things as you can in a span of sixty seconds.

A bag of chips later I got my hands dirty with bitmapData and experimented with it. My code teasing continued throughout the week, so this project was two-fold... learning something new in Flash and applying it to a game genre that I really wanted to revisit. So "Sixty" is the result, with graphics that evolve with your success and the thrill of beating your own high scores to boot. The graphics are somewhat wild at times, possibly overwhelming. Enjoy the minigame.

Controls: Arrow keys/WASD to move, mouse to aim and fire.

P.S. You look fantastic today :)

This was amazing.

I like it because even though the graphics are simple, they still look really awesome, and the gameplay is awesomely addicting.

did that guy say he got 600?

cuz i had trouble getting 200
anyway i thought you should have a high score update table for a game like this
no seriously he got 600?

so awesome i wished it would have more time cause its so frigin awesome

I really like the simple graphics and gameplay, but my favourite part is the music. <3

good game

it's a good game you get to kill mor than 600 blocks in under 60 seconds but i was expecting more to it because i saw the other reviews thought it was a good game which was but i was expecting more like...ummmm...more like.......a person shooting at stuff on top of a roof or something but it was okay i would just say try it
