Whoa, cool...
Kinda like "Geometry Wars" but without the flashy graphics. Nicely done!
A geometric shooting game, enemies will spawn from all 4 sides.
Collect the Red Cross Powerups to restore your health.
WASD controls the red squre, IJKL controls the aimpoint.
Mouse control has been deactivated, additional enemy behaviors have been coded, and two new powerups have been added on the advice of Newgrounds.com reviews. Thanks!

Thank you for your comment! Actually, the game was indirectly inspired by Geometry Wars. :)
DAMN!
This game is so SIMPLE, but for some reason it's kinda addictive! If this had more going for it (powerups, a plot/storyline, more music, etc) this might be even better. Nice flash.
Thank you for your comment! I'm coding AS3 w/FlashDevelop, so there are some issues with adding music. I have added a couple more powerups and some new enemy behaviors. How much plot can a game with a square as the main character have? A lot actually... me and my brother kicked around some ideas, but they'll show up in later games. :)
Not bad
It's a nice little game. My only gripe is that it needs some variety, rather than a truckload more enemies coming with each new wave. Maybe some more frequent powerups, or different enemies (that is, enemies that do something different; not just different looking enemies).
Thank you for your comment! Based on yours and several other comments, I've added some elements to the game.
i think its pretty good.
its a good challenge for multi tasking when you use the keyboard to control the aim point, but you can also control it with the mouse, which is easier for noobs. good job on this.
Thanks for your comment! The mouse control was originally added while I was testing, to make it easier for me... and then I got worried that people might find the two fisted control too hard.
Too bland
The graphics were way too bland. The constant shooting made it way too easy, the only time I was able to be hit was in the beginning when I was getting used to the controls. Have a couple different music files in there for alternations. It'd be best to polish up the graphics too, make them more detailed and add in some backgrounds. Overall, just too bland and simplistic for my tastes.
Thank you for your comment. It may be a too simple game for your tastes, but your thoughts are still valid. I have added some enemy behaviors which I hope make it a little harder, and disabled the mouse control. There are some technical issues with looping mp3s when developing using the command line compiler, but I've made a note that future games need more than 2 sound bits.
