its so boring

Interesting Idea

I personally can't stand Arkanoid-type games, because usually the ball's moving way to slow, and they focus so much attention on power ups and crap. I liked yours though, because instead of losing the ball if it goes past you, it just rebounds off the ground if it doesn't hit the spikes.

I could easily see this concept progressing into a more dynamic "defense" game...

1) instead of spikes/nails below the rebounder, you'd have a flow of people or objects you had to protect moving across the screen, from left to right. Much like Lemmings, you have to get X number of people safely across in order to meet quota and move to the next stage.

2) Meanwhile, tanks, artillery, etc are rolling in from the top, trying to shoot the people below

3) your rebounder acts like a shield/rebounder, able to deflect shots from the tanks back at them. If a shot gets by your rebounder, but doesn't hit anyone moving below, then it just disappears. The deflected shots are weak, though, and it takes quite a few of them to take out a tank.

4) However, you also have your "ball", a super-shot bouncing around constantly in the game. It can bounce off the bottom of the screen by itself, but if it hits someone you're trying to protect, then it counts against you. So, you have to use your rebounder to not only deflect enemy shots, but your power ball, too.

5) The purpose of your power ball is that it's far better to use than deflected enemy bullets. When it bounces by itself, it's weaker and has limited range (EG: could only reach maybe mid screen). But when bounced off the rebounder it gets super-charged to shoot faster, farther and for more damage.

So, during the game you'd have to try to deflect enemy shots & the super-ball if any were going to hit fleeing civilians below. If they weren't, you could ignore them. But, to get rid of more tanks faster, you can focus on deflecting your super-shot for increased power and damage capability.

Like I said, I think you have the foundations for a pretty cool Arkanoid spin-off defense/offense game thingy!

It seemed like you were attempting to put a touch of gravity in there, I couldn't really tell though.. I agree with TECHMANDAN, the physics need to have some work.

Yes! I have included acceleration due to gravity. (v=v+g;)

good potential

well unlike SpInKsTaR I think that this has a good idea behind it but I dont like the physics, try checking out the 2d physics tutorial and playing around with the math.
